Boathouse began in 1963 as a small business in the Canadian city of St. Catharines, Ontario. Known locally as Arlies, the shop specialized in active lifestyle apparel and footwear, catering to outdoor thrill-seekers and sports enthusiasts alike. Since that time we have expanded our presence in Canada to more than 80 stores nation-wide, now known to most as Boathouse. We continue to sell active lifestyle brands, offering the best in clothing, footwear, accessories and more. In 2008 we launched Boathousestores.com, bringing the Boathouse experience to you at home, or wherever you choose to shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was not greeted by the group of about 6 employees sitting around the cash register. Needed some shoe sizes, asked the Asian boy and he didn't even understand what I was asking... Finally he went to find the shoes in the back only to come back like 20 mins later frantically that he couldn't find anything. He got some other dude to help him. Anyway, poor service. Bunch of teens who hate being there and it shows. All hanging around the cash register the entire time, not tending to anyone's needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was greeted by a wonderful man by the name of Ryan. The two of us seemed to click like we basically knew each other. The man pretty much knew what he was doing and showed amazing service. I'm very picky when it comes to shoes and when I asked the shoe guy, Jason, to surprise me, he brought out a couple of amazing shoes at incredible prices (did I mention that he's got good taste in style?) It was also done in such a timely manner. When I was ready to head to the cash desk the lovely gentleman carried all my things for me, which was adorable. While at the cash desk this wonderful lady Miranda who did everything in a very swift but calm manner it was like watching someone who's been working there for 6 yrs, a real master. You can feel the authority out of her like the mother of this store. I paid for my things (no tap though, which is a shame) and made my way out satisfied. The guy at the front told me to have a great day and I will definitely be back. 10/10 amazing staff, would love to work here even.
