I've been a customer at Modern Motorcycles for the past couple years, got my first set of gear from them and had no issues. Good prices most of the time and helpful service.
After having my Fork Seals redone in August, I noticed a leak in the right seal only 3 months on. After calling the store and being quoted $45 for the repair (which was an extremely generous offer as after 3 months I cant be certain it was their fault), I brought my bike in. Aaron called me letting me know my bike was ready, and that the total amounted to $110. After explaining the quote I had received from Murray (his Dad), he kept on about how the price would be $110 and the other quote wasn't valid. After arriving at the shop to pickup my bike and reexplaining the situation to his face, he ended up super frustrated with me and shouted at me that "It doesn't matter what anyone else says, it matters what I say"
Shouting at a customer crosses the line, especially when I tried to stay as calm and reasonable as possible. I immediately paid and left, as its clear Aaron has no regard for professionalism or civility once angry.
I received a voicemail from him 20 minutes after leaving claiming his Murray was quoting me 45 minutes of labour, and not $45 dollars. Again, $45 after 3 months is a great deal, which is why I went through the trouble of clarifying that my out the door price was indeed $45, with parts and labour included.
The technician that worked on my bike was awesome, really happy with his work and how he handled it. Aaron on the other hand is awful.
Praying that Fortnine can put these guys out of business soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Discovering Modern Motorcycling has been amazing. Such a difference when the staff actually care about their customers, night and day difference from the dealership experience.
Being able to talk to the person working on your bike is fantastic. Came in for new tires and after talking to Zak and complaining about the under damped and undersprung stock suspension we had a new Hyperpro kit on the way. The kit was installed quickly and professionally by Zak and the transformation of the bike was shocking (pardon the pun).
I can't recommend these guys enough, prices are right, service costs are reasonable, and they go out of their way to make you feel appreciated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just bought an Alpine star jacket & chain maintenance kit here. Aaron was very helpful. Great customer service; he is very helpful. If you want to save some $bucks. Come here first before buying gears somewhere else. I should have come here first before buying the other gears online. Would definitely come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You want great service, this is the place to go. All the staff actually care about their customer, and the bike they work on. They make sure you get what you need and you feel good about it too.There is always hidden discounts and no extra charges (always good surprises).
I took my bike in for tuneup and service, Zak worked on the bike and did an awesome job, next day I had an unrelated issue with my bike he showed up at my house on a Sunday to make sure my bike is ready for my exam the next morning. That's going above and beyond!
Highly recomended shop

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Husband bought a helmet and gloves from Modern Motorcycling Ltd for his new bike. He wanted me to go buy basic accessories so that I would be comfortable riding at the back. Aaron was patient in selecting a proper helmet for me as I am petite. The third try was a charm! I also bought a garment top and a pair of gloves. Aaron offered me a combo price that I couldn't say no :) I was surprised they carry items that would fit 'little persons' like me, and was extremely happy with the price. Will definitely go back!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great store we have in our neighborhood. They have a huge collection of motorcycle gears and parts. Aaron was very helpful and friendly to find what you need. He is very knowledgeable and understanding, no matter how much is your purchase.
From helmets to jackets and motorcycle parts.
Store is a bit old-style but, hey, you're not gonna buy the store, you need your gear. They have lots of options better than any place I've seen in lower mainland, pricewise and collection wise.
Prices are great and you can try on and get your fit, instead of buying online and return.
Many free parking around the allies and on streets, hard to find free parking on commercial drive.
Definitely recommended as a local guide and customer.
