I had my Classic car in last year for some servicing, I was told his prices were fair, and he was good with every type of old classic whether it be a rat rod or muscle car. I needed some basic work done, and had him look over my car. I told him to fix what was necessary, and keep me in the loop. My transmission had a leak, the oil pan leaked, and the shifter linkage was a bit out of sorts and my exhaust needed welding up was my major concerns. The only other thing was having him look into fixing my speedo gauge, and the rest was left up to him. He did a decent job fixing the shocks, tie rod ends, welding the exhaust, fixing a gasket leak and taking care of a few minor odds and ends. I was happy that my speedo worked....just not well and in the process he had taken out all my other gauges so i was left blind while driving. He tried to fix it for what he said was around 8 hours before he gave up. He also touched on the timing of the car and it ended up running poorly when i took it out for a test drive. Also to note, the oil pan still leaks and the transmission as well sadly. So after spending over 3000 dollars, i took the car back 3 different times and he apologized for chipping my paint on my door.....so he did his best to try and fix it but its still quite noticeable. In the end I simply had to take my car to another shop, and pay them to fix it out of my own pocket. As the saying goes you get what you pay for, hes not terrible but he's not great.

A local garage failed my 25-year-old truck on an out-of-province inspection for a rusted floor pan and cracked windshield due to rust. They told me it was pointless to fix it and to get rid of the vehicle. I called around many places and no one wanted to touch it. I eventually found Steve at Rusty Hookers Rats & Rods who looked at it and said it would not be a problem. He replaced my windshield, fixed the rust around it, fabricated a new floor pan from scratch (no patch panels available for this vehicle) and blended, sealed and painted the replaced sections for $2k (taxes included). I was not an easy job and it's impossible to see where the new parts were installed, since they were blended seamlessly. A true craftsman and a gentleman, I highly recommend his shop for difficult jobs like this. Many thanks, Steve!

I talked to steve who I believe is the owner. He was asked to book me in to get floor boards replaced, and the body mounted to the chassis. I was told to follow up with a email to complete the booking. In the email it confirms that both tasks I was looking to get done on my car. Almost a month goes by and I’m told to bring my car in. Steve warned me it would take that long to get in as there was high demand. When I dropped off my car he wasn’t very welcoming but who cares. 2 days later he calls for me to pick up my car. Upon pick up I realized half the floor was done, it only looked ok. The other half that was rusted out with day light coming through, wasn’t touched. When I asked him what happened he told me the floor was fine. I proceeded to put me hand through the floor and asked again. He ignored me. Not to mention he never mounted the body which was talked about and confirmed in the booking email. I walked in looking to buy a t shirt but after my experience with the shop, I would not advertise their t shirt on my body.

I decided to have my 1993 Mustang Convertible brought back to original condition including rust repairs, dents removed, and complete re-paint. We shopped around for quite a while before we settled on Rusty Hookers. I am so happy we did! Steve was wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, very professional and most important to me, he has a wonderful low-key sense of humor. We shared a few chuckles along the way! He and his associates did a wonderful job. My car looks just like new! I am so pleased with the result and do not hesitate to recommend his shop for necessary work/repairs required. He understood that "time to do the job" was secondary to the quality of the work performed. This is not a place to go for a "3 day turnaround". But if you love your vehicle and value the workmanship, this is the place to go.
