Some employees (evening manager) in particular need to learn manners! If it wasnt for the great merchandise and floor workers I wouldnt go back. My advice, go in the day time hours for a better shopping experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a review on the staff at this location. Particularly the in store management. They do not treat the new staff professionally, nor do they give them any training. They just shove them onto the floor and leave them to fend for themselves. Thankfully the other staff seem to help out. The current Manager does NOT respond to her employees and just puts them into the schedule with ridiculous amounts of hours, even though the staff are supposed to be part time. The management lacks training herself, she does not set employees up into the system and then the minute she finally does, after multiple times of asking, she gives them ridiculous hours for a part time student. Someone should train this manager on how to do her job, as clearly she doesn't have a clue in what she is supposed to do.
UPDATE: My daughter received a call from a Supervisor?? Unsure. Still not much better treatment, so clearly we can see the problem starts from the top. I would encourage them to phone me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing items. BUT. I got scammed. There was this Buy one and get one for 1 dollar deals. I got two hats, and I specifically told the cashier that I wanted the cheaper hat to be the Buy one and the more expensive hat to be the 1 dollar one. But she did it vise-versa but I didn't notice it until I left the place and checked the receipt. So... before you do a deal, make sure it's what you want.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE! I shopped May 10 during a head office visit - the girl in the fitting room was folding and i was the only customer - girls at cash desk refused to hold an item at the counter so i could grab something else.. i asked for a size in jeans so i would not leave my daughter alone in the room ...she said she can't and does not know where to find them.. i actually walked up to the group of 6 women visiting from HO and told them of my bad experience. They all stared at me and NO ONE SAID A WORD! Then i emailed support@ardene and NO RESPONSE.. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMER- I managed these kinds of stores for 20 years and have never seen anything like this. Absolutely horrified at this ARDENE locations and their Head Office Employees representing the company should be ashamed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Any time I’ve been to the Coquitlam location the employees are rude. Teach your workers some customer service etiquette please. I realize your employees are young and being at work isn’t fun but being friendly to customers is just part of the gig with retail jobs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ardene has terrible customer service and their policies are dishonest. Online orders are advertised as “free returns in store” but it’s not actually a return, it’s store credit only. If you actually want your money back, you have to return the items by mail and pay a $5 “restocking fee”. All those details are buried in the fine print or show up on the invoice that gets mailed, very bait-and-switch. I felt sorry for the person working there; she clearly deals with lots of upset customers because of these shady policies.
