Really wish google reviews would allow for a negative number of stars. Scotia Bank locked me out of my account and is asking me to provide information that I could only get by logging into my account? Absolutely the worst customer service ever, even after escalating to a manager they still are insisting I provide information that I could only access by logging into my account. I certainly will no longer be using their services and hope that others reading this will also make a similar choice.

great place, no long wait, teller has best attitude in the world, teller will not tell you that they cannot do anything, teller will not give u a number to call to solve the issue led by them. Great bank, great tellers here.

They don't really care about low income seniors. Closed seniors' account without calling or emailing to notify about it. They will keep on calling you if they are selling a product (eg. life insurance, credit cards etc.) or will keep on emailing you if they have promos or are conducting surveys but will not bother to contact call or email to let you know they are closing your account. It's a shame. If it was a wealthy person's account, they would certainly make sure to reach the customer to resolve the issue but didn't care about seniors because they don't have money.

I introduce 2 of my relatives to Scotia bank on that branch with a guy , Travis. He said that investing in TFSA can replace the direct deposit for the promotion 300. At the end, I found out, no promotion bonus was paid because Travis was wrong. However, Travis said it was an unfortunate event and they both lost $300 each. I am still mad and regret investing in this branch and Scotia bank. They don't take responsibility.

I visited this branch awhile ago to withdraw US cash. I proceeded to complete the transaction with the teller whom told me I had to wait a few minutes until she can retrieve the cash. She politely asked me to wait in the waiting area and until this point, everything was amazing. However, after waiting for about 10 minutes, I decided to ask an employee who was standing near the waiting area regarding my transaction. He checked with the teller and then returned saying they had to wait for a vault(?) to open as it's a timed system. I found it odd and proceeded to wait another 10 minutes. I was then asked by a gentleman to come to the cash counter to verify the total cash amount. I asked him, since it wasn't a very large amount, the reason for the wait and he said, " I had to get the cash from the back." The whole transaction took just over 20 minutes. Please have more respect for customer's time as it shouldn't take 20 minutes to complete a withdrawal.

I ask them to cancel my bank draft that I have order from them cause I have missed place it. They went to check to see if it's been cashed and it wasn't. I was told it needs to hold it for 5 business days or longer.....ask them why would they need to hold my money since you checked it's not been cash and if anyone tried to, it's already been cancelled......it's a bank draft from your bank.....a regular cheque at most takes 5 business days.......she told me it's bank policy.........it's now been 8 business day and still don't see my money in my account........I will close my account once I receive my money and never deal with this bank.

I am too unsatisfied about staff's behavior of this branch. They made up some weird regulation to not deposit cheques for third parties. furthermore, they asked questions to deposit cheques that violate our customers' privacy. The very strange thing for me is that this form of behavior can only be seen in this branch of Scotia. We went to another branch to do the same, and they did our job simply and without offensive behavior. I am wondering if there is specific rule, why different branch of the unit bank have different behavior. Unfortunately, Google does not allowed me to left the review without any star, otherwise one star is too much extra for their behavior.

You are richer than you think....until we take all your money. Customers for over 8 years with a mortgage and we decided to sell our house, as many people do from time to time. We got hit with a massive penalty and every cent we saved with lower fee's and every free movie ticket they ever gave us, we paid for 100 times over. Yes I get it, we should have read the contract...but wow....are we really richer than we think?
