Love love love Melissa and Terri Lynn. Those girls help me out so much whenever I need to go in to do my banking. The new system sucks so thank goodness they know what they're doing.

Terrible front desk, closed door before business hours. Can't get real help instead of reciting scripts as you can come back tomorrow blah blah blah. If what we get is just atm and recited scripts why not switch to pc financial or tangerine? The indifference in the front desk lady's tone reflects how the whole branch treat their customers.

I have been a member at this branch since 2004. I loved going to this branch ! But they have hired new staff. The skinny tall guy with the goatee is exteremly rude he called me out in front of another customer that he was dealing with while I was asking a banker a question. I also find the other new staff members very abrubted as well. What happened ?? I feel like switching banks or going to a different branch wich is a shame cause I live closer to this branch.

I’ve been a Vancity member since 2009 and while the last year has been the most challenging year due to their system upgrades, I had the most positive experience today with Melissa. I have business banking needs, and often times I have numerous cheques to deposit which normally take 10-15 minutes depending on the teller. Melissa managed to do my largest volume of deposits in record time!

Horrifically slow service. All my business accounts are moving to TD and CIBC. 7 months later and nothing has changed. Service is still abysmal and unbelievably slow. I'm pretty sure they've heard a bunch of people who don't have a clue how to do the work. The struggle on a regular basis to complete even the most basic transaction in a timely manner. Will be 6 ft under before getting any service. In a month moving all business accounts. The pain and suffering will be over soon.

This review is more for VanCity as a whole, but specific to Pinetree. Pros: 1. Staff are generally friendly and helpful (see cons below). 2. Lowest monthly service charges anywhere. 3. I find that their call centre staff are the most capable and helpful out of any bank I've worked with. 4. Fast and Fair Loans offer a quick loan at extremely reasonable rates. Cons: 1. The entire system has gone down so many time in 5 years I've been with them (over a dozen!!), that I wont go out for dinner without alternative payment methods. I'm amazed a financial institute can have such poor infrastructure. 2. Their rules seem completely arbitrary and change with each passing breeze. They can ask for two pieces of ID with current address despite using you PIN number AND uttering your verbal password. Not just for a loan, mind you, but anything. 3. I lost my wallet (with ID) and I must be the first person in the history of VanCity that this happened to because there is sweet F all that they will do for me. I actually had to open an account at TD to be able to get access to money. Yes, I could actually re-open an account at TD and apply for a credit card before VanCity could give me working debit cards. Conclusion: I really, really want to like them, but the inconsistent way they do business and their unbelievably sketchy IT infrastructure make this impossible.

Wouldn't recommend it.. service is bad. They won't even cash a check. After being with this bank for so long. Going to go to a different bank where I get better service.

Ive spent my entire life with credit unions, and this is the worst branch Ive stepped into. The old lady at the information desk was rude and condescending when their organization was the one who made a mistake. Bank tellers apparently make appointments without actually saving them, so when you arrive for the time they tell you, they look at you like youre from outer space and try to make you feel like youre the one who messed up.
