Booked the car on priceline for 20 per day. I booked the car for a day from 11am to 6pm next day. The deal was for a small car with unlimited mileage. When I showed up they wanted to charge me $15 to use my travel card that includes insurance. When I dropped off the car they wanted to charge my card a whopping 130plus minsurance. They claimed that I'm returning the car late, so they charged me one extra day insurance plus they also said there was a overage on km. Apparently their unlimited km means 200km per day.... They refused to cooperate so I'm filing a complaint with priceline. Stay away, but be careful because I thought I booked with economy rent a car although it appears to be a company running in behalf of for those larger brands. . Stay away!

This was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had. Upon turning in the car, they tried to claim there was damage to the car that wasn't there before I picked it up. Not only were there scratches on almost every section of the vehicle on pick-up, both my partner and I remember bringing up the particular scratch when initially inspecting the vehicle. They tried to charge (I think it was) $1500 for a surface scratch (which was already there). Even if they scratch had happened when I had the car, there is absolutely no way it would cost anywhere near that much to fix. They gave up after a few minutes of arguing. A month later, I noticed an additional charge of $77 on my card. It turns out that $27 was toll charges for using Highway 407 (fair), but then they charge a $50 service fee for processing the toll payments. It may be somewhere in the rental agreement they give you when you pick up the car, but they do not mention it when you rent the car. Most of the staff I dealt with were apathetic, bordering on rude. Although their quotes for rental are cheaper than competitors, they do everything they can to make up for it by dinging you with extra charges and fees. It is worth paying a few extra bucks a day for one of the bigger rental companies. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Fox car rental or Transcanada Car Rental AVOID THEM BY ALL MEANS. Do not rent from Fox car rentals, Airport Branch, Toronto. I used them only once, will never repeat it, although I called them twice and twice they confirmed, they never picked me up from airport, after one hour and 15 minutes of waiting time, I managed on my own to go and get to them. Car was not there. After paper work, car arrived and they gave it to me filthy. 2 months later I got a surprise on my credit card bill, they charged me 407 toll. When I looked at the date and time of charge, it was the hour before they give me the car (they were rushing to get it to the office I am guessing) I never used the 407 nor was there the charge time. The charge was 3.50 for the 407 plus 61.70 penalty totalling 65.20. I tried several times to get my money back, could not. I rented so many in my life, never had worse than Fox rent a car, Toronto Pearson branch Airport road.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !! IT IS A BIG SCAM. First, i had to wait for over 45 minutes for their shuttle to pick me up While waiting in the lobby, 3 out of 4 guest get over charged and were complaining, the employees would not even talk to them. At the time i didn't think much of it except, that the guest service was horrible and how the guest were treated. Two days later when i was returning the rental car at 4:00 a.m. I gave the keys to the employee, he charged my card, gave me a copy of the receipt and the transaction was closed. 10 minutes later while i am outside waiting for the shuttle , an employee comes up to me, tells me that there is a 2 inch scratch on the car. I knew for fact that i did not cause any scratches on the car. At first i could not understand what the employee was saying, as the car was in his possession for the past 10 min. The employee kept asking for $750 or my credit card. I refused to give him either as the car had no scratches when i returned it My transaction was closed and the car was in his possession. The employee stated that he is going to charge me $750 on the card that he had on file , I told him that i am not authorizing the transaction but he still ended up charging me that amount . When i returned to the Sates, i ended up disputing the charge. I also got in touch with one of their executives, SAM. After talking to him, i came to realize that their business culture/SCAM start with their executive team.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY THROUGH EXPEDIA or AT ALL!! YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY! these people are experts on keeping tourist's money, I will make this a big deal, second time and last they take my money, how could Expedia back this company up? I will report this in Canada as well so these thugs don't keep doing this!! we brought the car in perfect condition and something happened in their parking lot and now they claimed $800 of my money for a broken tail light, I should have called the police, instead they ask you to file a claim. BE CAREFUL!!! DO NOT PAY WITH DEBIT CARD!!!

Like others mentioned below, we used this place because it was the cheapest. After waiting for an hour to get picked up, they brought to their location which was another hour wait. The people were rude and didn't let me use my insurance so I had to buy their insurance. A few months later we get a bill for a toll that we don't remember driving through. The bill had every single car in their company and was impossible to read. They highlighted a row but the toll was after we had left Canada and we had the flight ticket to prove it! We disputed the charge but they just sent it to a collection agency, groupecho. This is by far the worst rental experience I had to deal with.

Easy to get out to the freeway and to return cars. You'll need to take a shuttle to/from the airport, but shuttles run every few mins.
