Would not recommend their products. I purchased their garage storage kit - 9 pieces. One of the hooks broke within less than a year. When I called Richelieu I was told that the product is not under warranty and that I would need to go to Home Depot or Rona and pay out of pocket for a replacement hook. What kind of manufacturer doesn’t provide at least a 1 year warranty on storage items that if defective can injure someone? I had a metal shovel hanging on one of these hooks and luckily the hook broke when no one was in the garage and the car was parked outside. My request was simply to replace a hook that cost maybe $10 at most (I spent less than $30 for the whole kit). Richelieu couldn’t even help me with this. All I got was a β€œsorry”. They clearly don’t stand by their products.

They have great selection of everything cabinet need. However, their costumer service is very poor , the front disk people are nice but the system is extremely slow. To much paper work and waiting time to pcik up one item . I try to avoid buying from richiliou as much as i can . Every time i go to purchase or pick up something i waste over an hour or two.

A fantastic selection of handles and hardware. I order mostly online and pickup at a later time which is more convenient than walking in to order as you will have to wait around while they pick your order. Jackie, who has worked there for years in the back of the warehouse is always pleasant to deal with.

Richelieu What a company! 130 000 products : 2200 β€˜people’ * = 59 products per person!!! Top heavy! Inefficient, fat, lazy,. Ignorant and irresponsible! A product costing $70 at the Amazon is $210 at the richelieu. ( Purposely small r). And this is guaranteed: If they will sell you a wrong product, You send it back to them at your cost and they still will deduct 15% for the restocking fee!!!! From their annual report: β€œRichelieu increases net earnings per share by 11.1% in the first quarter of 2017…” = so now you can see how they do that! They make the profit from restocking - it seems like! I have sent emails to top people, objecting to this robbery (15%). I have called 4 top managers-TWO, THREE TIMES EACH. They do not return your telephone messages. They all should be fired from their positions. I also have CALLED the Head office and wanted to talk to the Owner, hoping, he still has some back bone. β€œ He does not talk to people” was the secretary’s answer. ( ROUGH translation to English, but you get the point ). After 4 months of this disgusting saga- we turned to the CC Visa and they solved it! Colleagues, Do not use this company. If you specify any product this company carry, check the competition. They will be 3x less expensive. The best value and savings for your client! THIS A HORROR BIG COMPANY - where left hand does not know what right hand is doing - that should be disassembled. If any questions you have , contact me and I will be very glad to tell you more! PS: Their QUOTES: *β€œOur team – Over 2,200 people, close to half of whom work in marketing, sales and customer service, more than 50% of whom are Richelieu shareholders.” β€œwebsite richelieu.com translate in to an optimal response rate for our customers.” = A 100% pure BS. β€œA North American leader” ( = In 15% restocking fee….I believe…. )

Customer service is ZERO here, in comparison to the other branches (especially the french divisions). Allan Martell, the "manager" is rude, unhelpful, and impatient. It's frustrating to deal with a company this large and "successfull" when they don't care about the customer at all. The items often arrive damaged, and the return policy is absurd. This would honestly all be ok if they were any bit remorseful.... Not to mention the staff at this location always belittle you, anytime you ask for help or clarification. What a waste of time. If you have any other options, STAY AWAY, and go somewhere else.

Its a place only for contractors but there is no signboard saying......public please stay away......we only wellcome contractors to place orders.....it wasted my 30 mins going to site address n then after looking n selecting items when i reach the counter....they gave me a slip with contractors address to place order through him???????

I recently went to the showroom in Mississauga for the first time and couldn't believe the lack of customer service and respect amongst the front desk associates. With the wide selection of products displayed, I couldn't believe the lack of assistance available to consumers visiting the showroom. This was the first time visiting as I wanted see the product in person, seek advice and assistance from the showroom staff and reselect hardware. As a designer, I have always looked to source hardware from Richelieu for many projects. An initial hardware selection was made for a project, however it ended up being very light weight and my contractor advised me to reselect a solid cast pull option that was of better quality. When I inquired about the quality of the first pull collection selected, the associate said "They're all good quality. People always order this style and never have had problems." He was kind enough to validate the quality of options I was considering but at the same time I felt overly rushed and that I was wasting his valuable time. At one point, the associate abruptly asked, "Is that it?" as in "Can I get on with my day?" and then carried on back to the front desk. I went on to reselect the hardware, however I also asked if I could request to see the original and reselected pull be brought from their inventory for me to compare the weight and view the screw hole to pass on info to my contractor. Apparently, this is against what they are able to do for customers and it was made sure that I knew this. The same associate that "answered my questions" earlier told me, "We don't do this here. You can't ask us to do this again. We don't have time for this." and then he passed my paper details to his colleague nearby because he was apparently too busy to deal with my request. Though hesitant to do so, his colleague brought me the pulls to compare the weight/quality and I was able to determine "how good of quality" the initial selection was. I thanked her for taking the time to do this for me, but she also made sure to remind me that she wasn't doing this for me again. Thank goodness I was able to see these pulls in person and hold them in my hands, as the weight/quality of the two options were night and day. This visit is definitely going to be a first and last for me and I'll be considering to look to alternative hardware companies to source from moving forward.

Such terrible customer service and whoever the older man was working when I went into the showroom not only failed to acknowledge me in any way or offer any help but rather gave such attitude when asked anything. It seems they need a business card to set up an account as well, and after explaining I drove over 30mins and the best I could offer today was a picture with the hst code but could come back another day if helpful, it was some rude, short, irritated response to say get product online as if I just wasted his time. If you haven't had your coffee why are you taking it out on a customer. Disgusting behaviour, terrible customer service. Would not recommend. Find the brand of these handles elsewhere.
