I am not sure if it takes normally this long but I spent 1.5 h here until I finally got my car keys. There was only one other person before me... But I got a car upgrade. That was pretty cool and the staff was really nice. During my travels I had no problems at all with the vehicle. Drop-off was quick and easy.

Do not book with Dollar unless you want their run around. If you have any issues, you will experience a customer service nightmare. A double booking was made on the website (computer glitch) and I immediately followed up. They made the cancellation and said they would rebate the upfront charge on the second booking in 10 days. Had to contact them a few times to confirm the booking was indeed cancelled and they said everything was taken care of and the funds sometimes take over 10 days to reverse. Over a month later I received my credit card statement and no rebate and the pay later portion of the charges was higher than advertised. Following up, yet again, Dollar tells me I have to contact the 3rd party provider to get rebate. WHY wasn't this said the moment I called when there was computer error causing the double booking! I thought I was booking directly on Dollar. While I was online with Customer Service for billing, I asked about the charges made directly (pay later portion) and was told that I had to contact the location directly. There was no success with that call either. On the upside, car trawler (who as it turned out was the 3rd party) was very helpful on the phone and promised the return of the funds. However, my rebate will require them to contact Dollar and will take around 20 days to process. They said it would have been easier to process earlier. If only Dollar had provided the correct information to me on Day 1, 2 and 7 when I spoke with customer service (Note: hours were spent on hold)

SCAM. Never opted for insurance but charged us for insurance. Switch and bait. They say something, charge something else. Dont rent here

Friendly people ' honest 'no extra or hidden charges ' good and clean cars. Very happy dealing with them. Thanks to everybody works for them

I had the worst experience with them as they didn’t rent me the car because i had a international’s drivers license. But at the same time hertz rented me on the same DL. Employees working over there were rude and so as the manager. I would suggest the international traveler's not to rent the car from here.

To whom it may concern: Firstly, I would like to say if the nature of my inquiry gave a selection for: "inadequate, incompetent and terribly rude/deceitful behaviour" I would have selected that as my selection for the counter staff at Toronto Pearson Airport Dollar Rent a Car. Secondly, I rarely write reviews or write letters for complaints. As a medical physician/professional and a father of 2, I just don't have the time unless it serves a higher purpose or to prove a point. I made a booking for a Dodge Ram nearly 2 months ago at the YYZ airport for 1 day from Jan 3-4/2022. When I arrived a was greeted nicely by a Caucasian lady who asked me for 2 pieces of I.D. and a credit card. After that, things went completely sour. After providing the necessary documents, she asked me, "what kind of vehicle was I renting", having already the computer screen in front of her with all the information. I said, "a pick-up truck". She said, "why do I need a pick-up truck". I found that very bizarre as its none of her business but I replied "to move some items". She then said "we do not have pick-up trucks at this location", which I replied with, "that's fine but I reserved one and I should be honored one". An Asian gentleman then joined in the conversation as things started getting a little feisty in my conversation that went in circles with the Caucasian lady who was adamant that I made a mistake in my booking. The Asian gentleman asked me for a copy of my reservation which I provided immediately on my phone and he then said, "I do not have any reservation for you sorry." Almost gesturing me to go away and get lost. The lady kept asking me if I wanted a manager to speak to throughout and I finally obliged as I had enough of these counter idiots that either were lying to me or are so incompetent or both that your company should really look into if they are providing proper service to your organization. After speaking to the location manager, Pawenjit Baring, and waiting 3 hours for my vehicle, he finally came through with my vehicle. He was quite nice in the whole process and explained that there was a glitch in the system and he apologized unlike the front desk people. If they just admitted the truth and did not belittle or ridicule me as a fool and not put the blame on me for this problem I wouldn't have been so upset and more understanding as long as the problem was resolved. Pawen was nice, understanding and cared about me and the situation and offered free gas as compensation. I want nothing more from Dollar as I'm writing this letter. I hope you make some changes to assure that no one suffers the silliness of the occurrences of what transpired today at the Pearson Toronto Airport to me. I hated the whole experience and I will likely never ever come back or deal with Dollar in my life and I will let everyone I can around me know about the whole ordeal. My brother works for CBC news and I did threaten the front desk people if they don't take me seriously, I will report this to the news media when I told them I felt this is a scam. That is, 1) not being honored or even acknowledged of my rental even after presenting 2 id's, 1 cc, and full print out of booking AND 2) accused of being a liar saying it is impossible to make such a reservation even though I was able to do so. If nothing comes of this, I don't really care, your company will suffer eventually and you will fail. Do as you please. I promised I will respond and I have done so. I want nothing more. Pricing was significantly lower than all other car rentals at the airport. The staff provided professional service. This was my first time to use Dollar but will definitely be my first choice in the future

Reasonably priced, however on our last trip i forgot a car seat in the back as i was cutting it close for a flight. I called the front desk when i arrived at the gate to see if they could bring it to the gate. They couldn't and then told me to file a lost and found report, did that. Its been 5 months and still haven't heard anything back. Should've and could've just sent it over while we had 15 minutes to spare before boarding.
