I would give this a 5 star if they had more had my size in stock more often, 3 out of 5 times they are out of size 10's...

I am very disappointed with a recent shopping experience I had at Scarpini’s in Oshawa. Although (based on the store managers comment to me), all staff are supposed to advise customers of the store’s refund policy, this isn’t always the case, as I found out – unaware of this, I went back 24 hours after a purchase expecting a full refund. It was then that I was advised Scarpini’s return policy is ‘exchange’ only – not a full refund, as I had expected. I asked the sales associate why I was not advised of this prior to my purchase and was told that there are signs around the store stating this – signs, I obviously did not see. I asked if it were possible to make an exception (goodwill gesture) in this case, as I had not been told about this policy and because I was making a return just 24 hours after my purchase. I was told, once again that this was not possible because this is store policy.....I’ve since done some research on Scarpini’s website and learned that for their ‘online’ customers, they offer a ‘full refund’ (within 14 days of purchase), so I ask why this same courtesy is not extended to 'in-store' customers? I went back to the store 24 hours after my purchase, tags on, boots still in box, yet the answer was still no. Learning of their online policy and the fact that I was not made aware of their [store] policy during my purchase, I am requesting a full refund of my purchase. I don’t see any difference between ‘on-line’ customers and those that walk into your store, both should be extended the same courtesy.

I arrived at the store shortly after it opened. I was the only customer in the store. After waiting holding a boot and the salesclerk not approaching me, I went to her (she was just standing around) to ask for a size. The store did not have my size so I said I would return the boots I had and see if they had my size on line. She said there was not an on line store (that is not true, there is). She then told me I could not return the boots and I should have known this and she pointed to the sign. Since it is only 4 days after Christmas, I explained they were a gift so I did not enter the store to see the sign. BTW, I did check with the person who bought the boots and was told they were not told about the no refunds policy as they would not have bought a gift had they known that. The clerk seemed like she did not want to be there; she was not approachable, not friendly and gave wrong information about an on line store. Also being 4 days after Christmas you would think she would assume most customers wanting to return items would have been gifts.. Even by teenager commented when we left the store that the clerk should find a new job as it was obvious she did not want to be there. I will be investigating if there is a head office I can call about getting another size shipped to the store. I don't necessarily want a refund but another item/size. I would have assumed the salesclerk would have offered to try and find the item/size at another store or something..besides I should know the stores return policy even though that was the first time I was even in the store......and once I get the boots I want (hopefully it works out) I will not be shopping at that store again.

I went into this store, at the Oshawa Centre, for first time to buy winter boots. I was greeted with a very friendly hello. The lady was very helpful. They have an awesone selection to choose from. I ended up with 2 very nice pairs of boots, one long pair and one short pair, for the price of one pair at the other shoe stores that I browsed in. They had a great sale on. All in all... this is a store I would shop in again... as long as the product holds up well over the winter. One thing that was a little strange though... everything was final sale!?!? That makes me a little weary... But we shall see!!!

Honestly, an underrated store! I found some amazing shoes today, that I got at an amazing deal! The ladies working were super helpful, got the sizes I needed to try on, and provided any additional support in asking if everything was going well. Highly recommend checking this place out! They had lots of brand named shoes for a great price!

March 26, 2022. My fault I did not ask for the sales person's name but she was lovely and so helpful. Best service from any store I've been to in quite a while. Extremely pleasant and not pushy at all. Thank you for your help.
