I have been a board member for the past 4 years in a condo managed by Peka. Prior to having Kelly as our direct contact, I was not a big fan of Peka and felt ignored, dismissed and was not confident in any guidance we were receiving from Peka. Since Kelly has taken over for us, communication is fantastic and timely, she goes the extra mile to get information and requests fulfilled, and is always really knowledgeable and willing to assist beyond the typical service agreement. I feel like our community it a priority and that we have someone on our side to lead us through whatever situations that may arise. She keeps great records and may not have immediate answers but always has the backup in order to provide accurate answers when asked. I trust she has our best interests at heart and appreciate all the work she and her team provide to our community. Thank you!

PEKA is one of the best condo boards out there! My family have dealt with many different boards in the past (so I definitely get an opinion on this), but none could even compare/compete with PEKA. The Calgary branch especially is super responsive and resourceful in so many ways. I cannot thank Kelly and Tammy enough for working with me to help me avoid a substantial penalty incurred by unvetted improvements completed by previous owner. Here's a huge shout out to the PEKA team!

It's not often I take the time to post reviews but I felt compelled to share a two thumbs up for the Canmore PEKA team of Tonia and Sean as am so impressed by their level of professionalism and care. We recently rented a condo they are overseeing and the whole process has been seamless and professional from the get-go. They went above and beyond to make our rental super comfortable before occupancy, did a thorough walk through explaining everything and have followed up multiple times to ensure we're comfortable and to resolve any small issues detected once we moved into the space. They respond immediately and are true pros. When we transition to owning a full-time property in the area, if we were ever to require a property management company, I would have no hesitation hiring them. It's clear they are representing both the owner and tenant with an aim to please both. Thanks again Tonia and Sean for making our welcome to Canmore so easy!

Honestly, I would give this company zero stars if that was possible. I've had the unfortunate pleasure of having to deal with PEKA for the last 3 years, and from those experiences I can say that they are: - unprofessional - disorganized - unresponsive - incompetent - little to no concerns for the safety of the residents - issuing fines and warning letters to residents without doing the proper research and due diligence - sending out important financials to the entire condo complex with miscalculations - no follow-ups on work orders they issue - little to no communication with third party contractors and residents - if you want something done or fixed, you will probably have to follow-up with PEKA with MULTIPLE emails - I have now waited 2 months for them to patch up a hole that they had put in my wall (for what reason? I still don't know. I asked, and no response). To this day, the hole is still there and they still have not provided a date for when it will be fixed. I try my best to stay away from having to contact this company as much as possible, because it just creates more work and stress for myself. A lot of my friends' condos have already switched from PEKA’s management to other property managers, and they are now way more happy and satisfied with their new property managers - I don't blame them because it really is painful, and frustrating to have to deal with the people that work at PEKA.

This is probably one of the worst property management company there is in Calgary, I honestly regret moving into a building that's being managed by their Calgary team. If you are looking for an experienced property management company to make it a pleasant experience for both you and your tenants, I would look somewhere else. There is an on-going project in my building which requires constant water shut-offs, they keep arranging contractors to come inside my unit for reasons they do not ever disclose. The thing that makes me the most uncomfortable is that this is happening during COVID, and PEKA has yet to disclose when this project will be completed, if it's so urgent that this needs to be done during a pandemic, or how many more times their contractors will require access to my unit. If we cannot let them in due to work or whatever, they have threatened to access my unit with a locksmith without my consent, and at my own expense.

I am a tenant of one of their condos. A year ago, PEKA threatened to fine me after I made a google review (Canmore page). I had informed them repeatedly that my air conditioner was not working and PEKA did 0 to resolve. Flash forward over a year later. Now, none of the building has had air conditioning for months. Finally, after enough people complained, they have began the process of "fixing" it. This "fix" has essentially been condo board meetings, delays, and the classic "we need to order additional parts". It's not just air conditioning issues. An elevator breaking is a weekly occurrence. Vehicle and condo break-ins also consistently occur. Broken water pipes, parking membrane, and intercom also have occurred over this last year; with delays each time it occurs.

PEKA arranged to do building repairs and came into my condo 2 months ago. Left the condo with chunks of wall out, pipes exposed and hangars dismantled. I have been asking them for 2 months to come in and put everything back in place because there is no place for us to store our clothes. Still no movement on this.

I've had the pleasure of being on a Condo Board and then the Board President for a property managed by Peka for the last 7 years. Jan Pederson has been our condo Property Manager, and Sally Reid our Condo Administrator. Both Jan and Sally have always been very responsive, professional, hard working, and a pleasure to deal with over these years. I always appreciated their advice, and willingness to discuss ideas and options for the various situations that arise when running a large property. My compliments to Jan and Sally, as I would highly recommend both of them.
