About Dr. Dean Willoughby
Dr. Rode grew up in Three Hills, Alberta. She received a Biology degree at the University of Calgary in 2010, before entering the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo. She completed an externship at an ophthalmology hospital in Houston, Texas, where she gained training on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ocular diseases. She graduated Optometry school with honours in 2014, and spent two years working in south-western Ontario before returning to her home province of Alberta.
Dr. Rode is committed to providing each of her patients with an exceptional eyecare experience. She is a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists, and has a variety of clinical interests, including children’s vision, dry eye treatment, and humanitarian eyecare outreach. She has participated in eyecare charity projects in Peru, Mexico, and Honduras. In her spare time, Dr. Rode enjoys exploring the great Canadian outdoors, playing board games, and reading.

I don’t understand the point of making an appointment when you get treated as a walk in anyway. If you have the time to sit and wait forever, and have nothing else to do that day, go see them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had an eye exam with Dr. Dean Willoughby and had a fantastic experience. The front desk was helpful and kind and Dean gave a wonderful experience. He was knowledgeable, honest and was very insightful into what he was seeing. On top of that, he recommended that glasses weren't ideal for me so just the exam was needed, very honest and I appreciated that. It was my first eye exam as an adult and I was really happy about the whole thing.

Also the lady who does the eye glasses is wonderful and helpful and found that their prices are on par with places such as Costco and Lenscrafters. Best place I have ever gone.
