Dr Johnson was incredibly distracted, did not provide the correct lenses, and was really a jerk. I think his focus is more on fashion than it is on the needs of his patients. Won't be going back here ever. Left my glasses there and got a refund.

Customer service was terrible. They charge way over what our insurance covers (almost double) for an eye exam and we have full coverage so that means they are capitalizing on my insurance company and me. Plus i found out that what the government makes free for children under 18yrs old, they also charge for starting at 8years old which doesnt make me happy. Since they already bill it to the government why bill it to us again for a double payment. That is cheating. But 2 extra stars for good service, and hopefully getting my prescription right. Update: trying to get refund for eye exam, and they gave me refund to my CC for 109$ but cashed a 140$ cheque from my insurance. (Totals include 1 pack of contacts which they charged my insurance for and refused to give me since i got a refund for my eye exam, but didnt refund) They then put me on hold for 10 mins and then got me back on the phone and apologized that the woman who does the benefits just left for lunch a minute ago (at 3:12 in the afternoon btw) ? Lol coincindence? These people only care about money not about their patients. Terrible service terrible doctors and 10 minute eye exam for 185$ when you can go to any other place in the city for 100$ and have a way better experience. This place is horrible. Would never reccomend to anyone.

Doctors EyeCare was a life saver for me! My daughter hid my glasses in the morning before I had to go to work and after searching everywhere for an hour I realized I wasn't finding them anytime soon. I headed straight to Doctors EyeCare. The ladies I dealt with were wonderful, they helped me pick out frames based on what they had in stock and had the order rushed for same day completion. I was back there by noon picking up my new pair!

I dropped in without an appointment and looked at some glasses. The staff was phenomenal. They were helpful with out being pushy. Even fixed my old glasses that I did not get from them. Jennifer was professional and knowledgeable. I will be going back! Oh ya and the late hours meant I did not have to take time off work. So good I got a second pair now. Also had a fantastic experience with Suzan. She spent a ton of time to get me the right glasses!

We love Dr Stockley! She is great with our whole family. Our toddler ended up needing glasses, and everyone was so helpful. I went to literally every place in town that sells children’s glasses to look at all my options. Came back to Doctors EyeCare because they had the most selection and definitely the best prices. Then we got them within the same week. Our one negative experience was our second ever appointment - we had received notice it was time to come back, booked in, and then found out when we were checking out that it had been less than 365 days since our last appointment, so our benefits wouldn’t cover it. That was pretty upsetting. I wished they had said something when when I called to book. But we came back because we liked the optometrist. I’ve learned my lesson and double-check every time I call now.

I am leaving a 1 start review for Dr. Johnson. I don't think all the doctors at this clinic are bad but with him I did not have a good experience. He prescribed me the wrong prescription twice and the third time I came back to try and have them fixed finally, he could not help me. On the phone he agreed the third lenses would be complimentary, then he changed his mind and decided the lenses would be only 20% off because I decided to buy new frames as well. His administrator said this was due to the exchange policy of their lab. She actually explained to me how exchanges work using roller blades as an example! They are acting like they cannot afford to cover 1 pair of lenses to honour their word to a patient. It was very disappointing. Over the phone he told me I was taking advantage of his business because I insisted he honour the offer for complimentary lenses which we agreed upon. I gave him alternate offers to the 20% because I wanted to reach a mutual deal, and I need new glasses and he said "I don't want to keep negotiating with you". Very inflexible. He acts polite, but his actions speak very differently. Until now I still have glasses which don't function properly because of him. I felt like he only wanted to "help" me to a point and then he pulled back due to selfishness or something? I don't know why he refused to honour that deal. Again, by me buying new frames they are gaining a higher profit than the straight exchange! So yeah doesn't make sense to me how he thinks. He'd rather follow the policy to a T rather than satisfy a patient or make a profit. Confusing. So yeah! I went to a new place today and their price for an eye exam is nearly half of this places, and they offered me BOGO free glasses. Maybe if your budget is high and you don't care about down to earth customer service this office would be fine, but for me it didn't suit my needs. Again, I know not every doctor and staff member here are rude, I have had very good experiences in the past 10 years that I've been going here, but not with Dr. Johnson.
