About Hakim Optical Red Deer

Hakim Optical began 50 years ago, when Sir Hakimi was grinding lenses for the Canadian wholesale market. He learned his craft as a youth in his native Iran and honed it in subsequent years, grinding lenses in Germany and camera lenses in Switzerland. Attracted by the excitement of retail opportunities, Sir Hakimi began to pass the great deals he gave wholesalers on to the public. Today, Hakim Optical serves the people of Canada with 161 outlets (including 140 one hour factory outlets) across Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

The new optical assistant, who is training to certify as an optician, has the most bubbly, helpful personality. Each time I came in, she remembered what frames caught my eye last time. She also encouraged me to take my time looking for the right frame for me. The staff doesn't hover or pressure you to buy. Overall, a great place to deal with!

I would highly recommend her and this place for your next eyeglasses. She had great promos on 2 pairs or more progressives and also gave me a 50 gift card too. She is a very sweet person. Thank you Jaylene I will be back next year too!

Jaylene helped me find 2 beautiful frames one for distance and one for reading. I absolutely love them! Anytime I stop by to get my glasses tightened or cleaned she does an excellent job! Highly recommend.

It was forgotten to update his availability on the online portal. Bit annoyed. But then you have Jaylene! Offered to still walk around and try on glasses and get that part out of the way. I told my friend it felt like a 90's montage. Lol. She turned my annoyance right around. I left with 3 pairs picked out and came back a few days later for the appointment. Jaylene was there again and was even able to get me a little discount for my troubles. Awesome girl, thanks! Keep an eye out on sales cause they had 60% off over the holidays. Always sales on there. Also, the eye exam is your typical eye exam. He was great.

I have been helped by the ladies working here on many occasions, from really great discounts on new frames and glasses to fixing my damaged frame (even when it was my fault). They always come through when in need. These folks know the meaning of "Customer Service". ♦️

I waited 4 weeks to only recieve one pair that had my perscription placed incorrectly. The second set also had my progressive lens placed wrong. The sunglasses were sent back and returned in the wrong frames!!! I am now 2 months into this mess and still without one pair. I have recieved no offer of a discount or in store credit. Nothing. The staff are nice however I have never experience this type of service, wait time and mistakes. I normally never leave reviews but feel it necessary this time.
