We were very interested in this building and would love to come have a tour. We had reached out through the website multiple times with no response, we left 10-15 voicemails and have never gotten any response. We toured another hazelview property and had none of these issues; in fact the representative we toured the other property with gave us an email to reach out to a leasing agent at vista local and still recieved no response. Despite no response we wanted to tour as we were touring another location nearby; so we booked a tour through the website. The website gave us a confirmation but we never received an email or phone confirmation. After numerous attempts to reach out to confirm the tour and no answer we still arrived at our tour time and couldn't find a single person who worked there. Disappointing. We would still like to tour this building however it seems if they cannot take 5 minutes of their working day to return a call it doesn't instill confidence in the company.

Nice, new, and modern. Management, superintendents, and cleaning staff do a great job keeping property clean and well maintained. Proximity to shops and amenities is perfect. You could go without a vehicle as everything is so convenient and close to transit. New front office staff is very responsive - no concerns here.

There are significant issues with the HVAC at this apartment building. Hallways are nice and cool in the summer but the units are hot, over 26C. I asked about it and was told it is not AC but cooling. Well it's cooling that doesn't work. If you like sleeping in a nice cool place in the summer, then stay away from the Vista Local. Hot and humid is what you get.

We booked a viewing for Saturday 3 pm. Received an appointment confirmation email and then another email reminding us about the appointment. The confirmation email said we'd having a meeting with the leasing team with no other information. When we reached Vista Local on the given day and time, it wasn't obvious where the leasing office was, we called their contact number but no one picked up. My husband and I then proceeded to go inside the front office which was locked. We dialed the number to reach the office but no one picked up, it was already 3.15 pm at that point. Someone was coming outside the office/amenities building so we got in, looked around but no one was there. A few minutes later a helpful gentleman called Mario showed up. He said he'll check if anyone from the leasing office was available, turns out the only guy on duty that day (Kurt) was not inside the office. Mario gave us Kurt's business card and we tried calling/texting Kurt but got no response. We waited until 3.30 pm and decided to leave. Pathetic experience. If this is how Vista Local treats prospective residents then I don't even want to find out how current residents are treated. While we were waiting in the lobby a resident showed up. The poor guy wanted his keys and said that Kurt had stopped replying to his messages/calls. Total waste of our time. P.S It has been almost 2.5 hours since we got back from Vista Local and 'Kurt' or anyone from the leasing office for that matter still hasn't responded to us. WHAT A JOKE. Stay away from this building!

We quite enjoyed the Sunset BBQ that took place on Monday night! The food was great and we were happy to be able to meet people from this community and chat with one another. It was very well organized and appreciate!! Thanks to all who made it happen

When first entering the living grounds, I was definitely intrigued by the modern layout and looks of the buildings. The sleek finishes at every corner, there was definitely a look of attention to detail when making this place; but the thing that I remember most is my tour around the apartments. the representative Wasim -- was a very kind, out going, and knowledgeable gentleman. He made my feel very comfortable with speaking my opinions, and made sure to acknowledge every question of mine, no matter how dumb they may have sounded. I have gotten a really good Idea of this place and it's most definitely in my top 3 list of places to stay in the south end of Ottawa.

Summary Staff is unreachable, and does not answer any phone calls, or emails. The price is also high considering the area and it’s high crime rate. The building is only a few years old and already is showing signs of ware. Long version If you are looking to get an apartment look somewhere else. I’ve tried to contact Vista Local, through several emails and phone calls. After a week of waiting I received a generic email with several other potential tenants from Brenda. Besides being a privacy concern, it took me another few days to actually schedule a viewing. Once I finally had the opportunity to view the apartment I was impressed by the amenities and design of the building. However I wanted to schedule another viewing to look at another suite, and after repeatedly reaching out to schedule an appointment I still haven’t heard anything. Disappointing customer service.
