There's a male hygienist that's amazing. He's great with my daughter and is patient with all my questions. Both doctors I've seen are nice too. They don't rush in and out like other doctors do. The air purifying system they have is pretty cool. This was my first experience at the dentist after the pandemic began. I'm glad it was a good one.

I'm not one to write negative reviews. However, this dental office has disappointed and mistreated us, and I feel people have the right to know how bad this place truly is. It all started when I was referred to this place after my family dental office was closed due to covid. My wife had a few fillings done, after which she had severe pain that lasted weeks. After consulting with a different dental office, it turned out the dentist had drilled all the way to the root, so she now needs a root canal. Regardless we all make mistakes, so we let that one slide. After a week, I got a letter saying I owe x amount and that the insurance didn’t cover it, so I paid and let it go again. After a while, my 6-year-old son who is AFRAID of the dentist, experienced pain and needed urgent attention. So I called this office because they had availability and booked the soonest appointment for Jan 4. They called me on Jan 2 and said I could bring my son within the next hour, which I did. We met with Dr. Wafik, Who, in all truth, should not be allowed to practice. Instead of assuring the child, he and his nurse went on to scream and yell at him, then turned and blamed me for LETTING HIM WHINE And told me to take him to another office. I was then charged 92 for the ten minutes they nothing and was told to figure it out with my insurance. I let all that pass and just never returned to that place again. However, I was surprised to find a letter in the mail stating I owe 200 for a missed appointment for my son that's 4 months due Jan 4 with an interest charge on top, and that just made me furious. This office has no respect and absolutely no professionalism nor courtesy.

I have been going to see Dr Ben Fong for over 15 years. My husband and children go there as well and we all absolutely loved him and his staff. My dental hygienist is Barb, who's absolutely amazing. Tracy who is in the accounting department and Rosa who is front desk are phenomenal. I read some negative reviews, and I don't seem to recognize that this is the same Clinic I go to. I have not had any issues, and everybody is so friendly. My family has seen doctor Ben Fong both as a dentist and an orthodontist. I have nothing but great recommendations to share about him and his Clinic. There's a reason why he won the FACES Magazine Award for best dentist office in Ottawa.

Honestly this is the best Dental Clinic here in Ottawa! The staff here are truly family. They genuinely care about all their patients and Dr. Fong has such a personal touch when it comes to taking care of his patients and staff. There’s a reason why the staff never leave this practise. My experience with Mary as a hygienist is always pleasant. I just had Miko clean my teeth and he was so informative and knowledgeable, I left feeling empowered as to what to do with my own dental hygiene. Truly an amazing experience. Also, for all the haters our there with their one sided emotional reactionary based reviews. Grow up.

I got Invisalign done and was very happy with my experience at Herongate Dental! The dentist Dr. Ben Fong and orthohygienists/hygienists (Christine, Cassie, and more) were all very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful!

Had my invisalign done here after being referred by my aunt and was happy with my results. Sadly I was not great with wearing my retainers and I had to come back again to get a second round of invisalign to correct my teeth that had shifted. Fortunately Dr Fong helped with that no problem and my teeth were back on track again. The team in the front and back are always super friendly and do an awesome job at helping me maintain my smile, thank you everyone :)

I got 2 of my wisdom teeth removed by this place and they have actively given me a fear or the dentist. I’ve never had cavities or bad relationship with any past dentist’s ever before. I simply asked for more freezing which I would pay for and the doctor only properly froze one of my cheeks then cheaped on my left cheek saying I had enough freezing telling me I couldn’t feel it, then proceeded to yank my tooth out. My right cheek with the 1 extra freezing needle was completely fine and my left cheek ended up being very swollen. I was so anxious unlike any other dentist experience, I was shaking during the experience the dentist himself seemed to be in a rush which made me feel very uneasy. It’s been since January, and I’m still now scared to get my last two wisdom teeth out thanks to my experience at Heron Gate Dental. (The intake staff was very good and did the job well as well as the hygienist, the dentist himself was rough.)

Staff is very friendly and efficient. I found my concerns were not completely addressed by Dr.Fong. My two front teeth are not completely flushed to the ones beside, but was told that from the inside they are even. It is too bad no one is looking at the inside of my teeth. A second attempt at revising the front teeth were done, but I didn't notice much of a change. I am probably being overly picking. Overall my teeth do look a lot better after the invisalign treatment, but I wish more could have been done for what I had paid.
