★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience with Thrifty car rental at the Edmonton Airport location was great. All Thrifty staff are very friendly. I never rent a car myself before. The process for pickup and dropoff are very simple and clear. I will definitely choose Thrifty again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There’s no negative stars I could give them. It was horrible experience. Rented 11 days for $391. I got late about 2 hours they charged $221 for 2 hours ridiculous charges!!!!!. Called customer service did nothing. Find some other rental company but never this one if you do a small mistake of late. I’ll never go there again in my lifetime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quick and Easy. David C is the BOMB.
Car was not great, long in tooth, but CHEAP. Right at airport.
5 min drop off. 5 min to gate.
Insurance was in the glove box.
Mazda CX-3. Would get something better next time.

I'm calling them with the simplest question and it's 3 time they've hung up on me to avoid doing anything.
I'm going to call for a manager to see if there's any difference!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The call centre/customer service/rental extension lines are extremely unhelpful on purpose it seems.
Took me 90mins to get a branch location phone number where the staff were extremely helpful but it took exactly that, 90 mins.
Do not recommend using this supplier, will never rent from Thrifty/Hertz again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Check-in process was quick, and staff on-site were friendly.
Car was old and the power window was broken. As a result, had to drive with the window cracked open on the highway for several hundred miles, which was cold, loud, and annoying. Fuel level was incorrectly listed as "full" despite only half a tank being in the car at pick-up.
Hertz continues to do a dreadful job with Thrifty/Dollar by cutting corners wherever possible. It is impossible to contact the physical location via phone for special requests/questions, and the customer service representatives at the call centre are unable to help with anything other than basic tasks + are also unable to get in touch with local offices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very easy check in process. There were no surprise charges or anything like that. The vehicle was in excellent condition. Overall an excellent experience renting from thrifty, and we will absolutely be renting from them again.
The lady at the counter had a few minutes to chat and was very friendly. Thanks for making our trip so much easier with excellent customer service!
