★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first experience and hopefully my last with the lost baggage department of US Airways. After losing two of five bags somewhere between Newark and Edmonton, the girl at the lost luggage desk initially declined to process our claim, saying the boarding pass was issued by United as that is where our previous flight originated. We had to insist that the flight was indeed US Airways- which was the ONLY flight arriving in the airport when we arrived at 1:30 AM. Then we were told the bags were in Newark and they would retrieve them in 24 hours and put them on the Greyhound to our town. The next day I was told they were enroute to Phoenix. The next day they had no idea where they were. Five days later, no bags, no toll free number to call, and the online process says the file is closed. Frequent calls yield no results. Shabby treatment all in all.
