I booked my round trip flights (3 flights from home to DTW, total of 6 flights) from the Air Canada website even though it was slightly more expensive than some other websites. I was not sure what would be the government's Covid policy changes at the time of my trip and I thought if my flight was cancelled, Air Canada would offer a full refund. After booking I recalled that I didn't use a coupon from a previous flight. The Air Canada agent on the phone stayed on the line until I could rebook the same flight with the discounted price and then she canceled the previous booking for me. Air Canada has changed my flight times twice due to covid situation and each time I got notifications. The flight changes did not affect my trip. In the plane, whenever the seats were arranged as 3+3 seats in each row, Air Canada had kept the middle seats vacant to keep passengers in a more acceptable distance. They gave passengers a bag containing a water bottle, a mask, gloves, tissue sanitizer, pretzels, and a hand sanitizer bottle. On my return trip, two of my flights were booked too close to each other and also that was when I was entering canada and had to go through customs. I was worried that I didn't have enough time and I would miss the second flight. When I arrived at the airport I was surprised to see that four air Canada agents were standing at different distances to escort me and other passengers with the same situation to the customs and back to the secure area so we didn't need to loose time to go through security again! Obviously it's safer to stay home to avoid catching and spreading Covid. Travelling in this situation means accepting the increased risk of being exposed to the virus. I think air Canada is taking all the possible measures to provide a safer environment for its passengers. I would not fly for pleasure in this situation but if I need to fly again I would definitely choose Air Canada. Take this into account though that I didn't have the experience with flight cancellation with Air Canada. And maybe unconsciously I want them to always be in business because they are carrying "Canada" 's name.

Poor customer service. Expect delays in your flight timings. Everytime i travel with air canada, my flight timings are changed and they dont refund money so i am always stuck with no other option but to wait hours. Will never travel with air canada again

Air Canada must treat their employees like absolute garbage because they always seem so miserable. I fly business class all the time and I’ve had flight attendants take out their frustrations on me. Treating me like a child. Ridiculous.

Speaking as a friend you've never met, Don't fly Air Canada. Save yourself a headache and a "I should have just gone west jet". I mean I have yet to really see one positive review about this airline. Why are you still in business? We were circling Montreal airport for an hour, delaying our connecting flight, which later clashed with our destination plans. Thanks, will definitely go out of my way to always fly west jet. ?✈️ AC you suck. Love Friz.

Absolutely miserable customer service, not as a whole front line team but the olderly gentleman treated us just like a garbage. Not a good experience overall, however, some folks are superb.

This airline is a shame. Sincere hate to the passengers, Feeling of their own entitlement, poor handling of disputes. Canadians deserved better than this. Air Canada should change name to remove the name of our great country. Or even better - Air Canada should go out of business.

Useless Customer service supervisor got no help and just got denied not check in without verifying to the destination requirements. The new update of Philippines entry transition was our flight date. They have no idea to the new rules did not bother to check or call the Vancouver Air canada to confirm if we saying the fact. He did not bother too and he doesn’t care if we missed the flight. All he saying is qr code to check in oh well the new rules is Bar code or qr code effective to our flight travel and no updates from Manila. We will definitely file a complaint on this and really not acceptable. We didn’t even got thru the counter because they were not able to help us at all. We went back two days after the incident and resolve the issue but the damaged is being made. We can’t go back to the time. Hassle, stress and traumatized for what my family experience it’s unforgettable and priceless.
