My experiences at the Leduc enterprise location would be described as low quality. I’m not unfamiliar with the rental vehicle process. I found this location to be particularly unsavoury. I was given a downgraded vehicle- I had booked a versa or similar. I was given a spark. The first car they showed me didn’t have a USB port, and was dirty, beat up, and questionably a standard. I requested a different car. This one was not quite as dirty and had a USB port. Everything in the interior is still terrible, dirty, outdated. The stereo, the speakers, the shifters. Just all around not very good. I notified them that I had third party insurance. I was pushed into extra coverage (glass) that I didn’t need. I spent quite some time negating the other offers. They did not easily accept that I already had full coverage. It was an unnecessary, (further time consuming) sales pitch. I did a quick walk around, being in a rush, having arrived quite some time ago and needing to complete the process, began taking photos of the outside of the car. I was interrupted and instructed to do the walk around with them, take any photos β€œafter”. This was my second walk around, after I decided the first car was completely unacceptable. He made sure to show me how to put the lights to automatic. *cringe*. The deposit charged, even though they had a card on file, is around $750. The total cost of deposit, renting a bottom of the barrel car that is tailgated constantly. The tyres are also much too thin for as much highway driving as I do. I was there for probably around an hour total. I would describe the experience as leaving a bad taste. They were sexist in their interactions in comparison to other nearby rental companies. I have had several excellent experiences with Alamo rentals at Edmonton International airport. Top notch customer service. Recently, I was given a brand new, never driven Mitsubishi SUV, for 5 days, for under $300 total. The deposit was $200. Pick up and return, prompt. 5-10 mins total. Clean, new vehicles. Client needs matter at Alamo Rentals. They are professional, thorough, and extra accommodating, without exception.

Don't waste your time reserving a car at this Enterprise or any, although you have a reservation you don't, typical example of lack of customer service and professionalism. The Manager Harvey Singh was completely insulting, how does Enterprise Car Rental condone this type of behavior and conduct, implying that a customer is not competent by booking online and checking in online, further implying that Enterprise Car Rental online reservation is just not as relevant as their competitors.

Sunday I was called to confirm my reservation, which I did, for Wednesday morning at 8am. At 7:55am on Wednesday the branch called me to tell me that they had no rental available for me, and they were calling me ahead of my pick up so I could make alternate arrangements. I’m not sure how they think that 5 minutes before pick up is β€œcalling ahead of schedule”. So now 5 minutes before my pick up, when I needed to be out of town In an hour they tell me there’s no options available. They refuse to do anything to compensate me and they fail to call back or follow up with me. Poor customer service. Very disappointed with the branch.

Excellent team here in Ludec with competitive rates. Everyone was extremely pleasant to deal with. Harvey went above and beyond to make this an excellent rental experience. The next time I'm in need of rental you guys will be the first place I call.

I’ve always used this company for rentals. no matter what specific branch I’m at I’ve always found their staff polite and friendly, always open to hearing any concerns or recommendations. Though I’ve never asked for a specific make or model, they have always given me something in the size range and passenger capacity I ask for. In all the years I’ve used them my experience has always been hassle free and easy.

I had a horrible experience with my rental and will jot down a few tips that may help you avoid the stress I'm having now. After all, we rent a car to have a great time, not a nightmare! If you are not familiar with the car rental business (that was my case), these tips may be useful. Initially those comments were addressed just to the Edmonton Yellowhead Trail branch, but unfortunately they became a regional issue. After over a week trying to have some attention, I finally got the phone of the regional manager. Of course I could only reach the voice box and never had a call back. Worst Customer Service I've ever had in my entire life (and I am not young!) 1. Don't let them rush you during the inspection. Take a whole hour if you feel you need it. Don't trust anything they say and take pictures or make a video of the entire car. 2. If they bring a car with many minor damages, refuse the car. They may make you pay for previous damages. In my case, the car had a huge crack in the windshield and many chips all over. I started to mention them and they told me that there were minor and rushed the inspection. After, they charged me for underneath bumper chips that I am sure I did not cause during my day-and-a-half rental. 3. Take a picture of the gas gauge. They cheated in the inspection document and tried to charge me for the gas. Luckily I had a picture of the dashboard. I don't know if it was on purpose or a mistake, but also I wonder which one is worse, dishonesty or lack of training... 4. If you have an issue with them, they won't probably listen to you. In my case, they were extremely aggressive charging me and, instead of listening to my concerns, just hid behind the statement that I had signed the contract (including the manager!) I really wish you a wonderful experience with your rental and I will be much more careful next time a need to rent a car. Of course I will avoid this company.

In the multiple years that my family and I have been involved with renting from enterprise, we have not come across such ill communication, and lack of basic service. I picked up a vehicle Friday at the very end of the night and I was told that charges would start from Saturday morning, since I needed to leave before the branch opened. I was renting a vehicle for two days and as usual I was going to drop it off in the return box on Sunday evening. Turns out, enterprise does not do the boxes anymore, and, And when I arrived on the Sunday, it was closed. So I figured OK, I will drop it off on Monday morning, after my morning appointment (which has been booked for months for my dental). I received a call from the manager at 9 AM, asking when I would arrive. I told him I would arrive in an hour to two hours, and he never communicated to me that he would be charging me for an extra day. I went to the branch, and paid the full amount. Later to realize when I looked at my invoice, that I was charged an extra day. When I called Randy to clear up the situation, he seemed like he was not hearing me out, and he was also trying to point the blame to the person who rented the vehicle for me. As the branch manager, it is your duty to communicate things like rental timings, or let the person know that you were planning to charge them an extra day, especially when you give them a call. When I politely asked Randy to make it right, as I’ve been renting from enterprise for a long time, he said he can’t do anything. He said goodbye, didn’t wait to hear back from me, and hung up the phone. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I am not satisfied whatsoever. Enterprise has always been the first company that I went to rent vehicles from, And my family always goes to enterprise. I do not think it is acceptable for the branch manager to not make it right by the customer, and to let alone hang up on the customer. What started as honest miscommunication between the two parties, ended with the branch manager lacking any level of empathy, and failing to understand the situation.

Staff were friendly and good rates. The rental was not the safest for winter road conditions (cargo van - tire quality, etc.) but they were receptive to feedback and went out of their way to acknowledge our concerns. They were quick and easy to rent from and checked other locations if they did not have something in stock. Would rent from them again and recommend to others.
