★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been a member of The Gym on Locke for 6 years and it has quickly become my happy place. I’ve been a member of other gyms over the years, and bigger is not always better. The Gym on Locke has all the equipment I could ever need, including weight lifting, cardio, and stretching. The equipment is well maintained and is upgraded often. The atmosphere is very nice! Not cold and harsh with bright lights like a typical gym. Instead The Gym on Locke has warm lighting and exposed brick walls that’s great for those of us that don’t want to feel like we’re working out in prison. But mostly, it’s the people! The members are mostly all regulars and in my experience have been friendly and welcoming. The owner, staff, and trainers are all wonderful: approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. I can’t believe my good luck that this is my neighbourhood gym!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been meaning to write a review. Was a member here years ago and it left a bad impression. The cancellation was horrendous. The two months notice is not true. I sent emails and left messages to cancel. No replies. However if you are to call to sign up the owner returns your calls with bells on asap. It’s too bad as this gym is down the street from me. NOT very community oriented.

Firstly, I love that it’s 24hrs so I can pick the time of day that works for me, and it’s never crowded. The equipment are state of the art, the gym is always clean, and if you are in need of a professional personal trainer then you will definitely find yours at this gym. The owner, the trainers and the members all add to a very relaxed atmosphere and a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a member at The Gym on Locke since 2009. I would not ever consider going to any of the big box gyms. The staff and members are always so friendly and willing to give advice and encouragement.
The owner Stefan has always been so accommodating whenever I needed to take a break.
They take such pride in the business and always making sure the place is spotless. They go beyond what is necessary to keep the members safe during these times with covid 19 restrictions.
If you want a private gym atmosphere with state of the art fitness equipment and friendly staff I strongly suggest that you give this fine establishment a try. You won’t be disappointed.

If you don’t like traditional big box gyms and you’re looking for a comfortable and well maintained place to workout, then you can’t do better than The Gym on Locke. They have a great selection of updated and well maintained equipment and a relaxed and inviting environment. The gym is never packed with people, I’ve never had to wait for a machine or felt intimidated by the other patrons. This is an especially great gym for women. The community of people who use the gym are always very respectful.
