★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The store manager is really unfriendly. He’s so defensive for anything you go with. The other day I went in to get my sunnies fixed that I got from there a year ago. Just on one side the glass had popped out. He didn’t even offer to fix. I ended up going to the other one on Robson and they fixed it in seconds. Apart from this, let me tell you today’s experience. Yesterday I bought a new pair of sunnies at Robson Street location and they gave me the one that was on the display. I didn’t realize it then but I felt it was a bit too loose. I went in to the Robson location and they unfortunately did not have a new pair. So I had to go to this store and yet again this store manager was here and told me if it’s loose you can’t return it in this location. To begin with I didn’t go there to return, but to exchange with the same pair that’s off the shelf, but he doesn’t even listen completely. But if I did go to return that why wouldn’t they accept it? As per sunglass hut policies you could buy anywhere and return anywhere else. It’s not a used one that’s being returned, it’s being returned because it’s loose - in the first place they should have given me a new pair and not the one on display at Robson location, which they didn’t and I made this clear to them too. However, at this store, he was super defensive and said swiftly he can’t do it , even though I just went in to see if I can swap the same model with a newer one that’s not on display and NOT to return. Also, he doesn’t offer even complimentary clean up or anything of that sort. However, the girl who works there is AMAZING and she helps me a lot every time she’s there when I go. I used to love this store when the associates were friendly. It’s turned into “my way or highway” here. Very disappointed.

Every customer was able to open drawers at the store and no one was disinfecting them between each touch. Specially when you try sunglasses you put it on your face close to your eye where it touches your mask during a global pandemic.
There was myself and a friend shopping for sunglasses and there were two other customers. They were trying on and the customer kept leaving his mask off while trying on. I understand if he needed to see his face without the mask, but keep covering your mouth it the mask but he kept walking and talking without his mask on with the female sale associate.
The other discounted was when we went to pay, the card was grabbed from our hand by the female associate and swiped without our consent, and when we asked why did you swipe our card she couldn’t explain why. The debit/credit machine is a separate machine, and the sunglasses hut system is different where she swiped the card which is our private property. She asked for the male associate to explain he said our system is old, and yet he had no real explanation and as we said we don’t feel comfortable he started calling and yelling names at us.
I understand that during this pandemic everybody is under pressure but this is absolutely uncalled for behavior and absoloutly unacceptable covid protection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would highly recommend this store, I actually went in only to ask a question about my Ray Ban Eye Glasses and although they only sell Sunglasses the store associate was so pleasant and helpful I ended up talking new Sunglasses for approximately 35 minutes and will now be returning in the near future to purchase a new pair.
Looking forward to that day....
