★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm shocked at all the people mentioning associates; I didn't know any one worked here aside from the cashier! I have come here 3 different times. The first time was the only time I left with anything. The only reason I was because after looking everywhere on the floor for headbands, I was walking out empty handed when the girl asked what I was looking for. The headbands were kept at the front so she could show me.
Both other times? Different days of the week, and different time of day, 4 months apart. Both times someone greeted me at the door, didn't offer assistance. Something catches my eye, and when I have questions there's no one around. Change rooms are locked, of course, so you need to try and find someone.
The store is helpfully organized by brand, however finding anything on sale is a lot more difficult than it should be. Coming from former customer service, maybe consider having more than two people working?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shopping experience was decent and upon check out was told they don't carry bags for your items....basically they gone bagless?. Didn't feel comfortable walking out with bunch of items in my arms. Felt naked. ?♀️

The associates are a hit or miss.
Some of them are really nice, friendly and are willing to help. The other ones are eyeing me up as if I am a suspicious shopper..
Makes the experience a bit uncomfortable.
And they seem shocked when I go to check out with high priced items.
And sometimes there is only one person on the floor and one person as the cash.
It took forever for me to find someone to ask to get a fitting room.
But when items are on clearance it's a really good deal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sales associates in the shoe area are spot on 5 stars, love the work ethic. I'm sorry this is not for anyone else in the store just specifically one person who has ruined my shopping experience. The one guy with the half sleeve on his right arm near the bike section, ZERO stars. No discrimination I have tattoos myself so it's not about the tattoos at all. I asked him if there are any other bikes and all he said was "Your a month late buddy". If you have no basic sales training you are a complete waste. No sir i am in fact not late, there is no time frame to be getting a bike. At least have passion even if you don't make commission. You're representing Sport Chek, you don't know if I'm a undercover guy from Sport Chek to see how the environment is. I know how to fix this problem but If management does not than store will be gone in 2 years max.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in to check out shoes at East Hills, first time ever, i wanted a simple pair of black shoes, the lady who came up, she wasnt wearing a name tag, said the 3 pair i pointed out were not in my size, i pointed out another pair and it was a size bigger she then went and got them, i tried them on and she disappeared, didnt ask what i would be using the shoes for, or how they fit or anything, just disappeared, they did not fit, and the shoes i was looking for was going to be close to $200.00 and she lost a sale because i left with no help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son purchased a pair of Vapor 2x Pro Goalie Skates in July online from Sport Chek. Once they arrived at our home we brought them to East Hills Sport Chek to get them sharpened. The young man in the pro shop was fairly new I believe and unfortunately used the wrong wheel/stone to sharpen them and stripped all the carbon coating off of the blades. This was confirmed when we brought them to Pro Hockey Life the next day to have them looked at. I called the manager the next day and was put through to the pro shop. I was told that they would order a new set of the carbon blades for his skates but it would be a few days. I called back a week later and was told it would be a month. I called back in October and was told they were still waiting for the Bauer rep to get them. I called again in November and was told someone would call back and they never bothered to.
So the store ruined a $150 set of blades from a $1000 pair of brand new goalie skates and gave us the run around and then stopped responding. Absolutely atrocious customer service. I don't blame the new kid in the pro shop as mistakes happen, but the follow up from the manager and more senior member of the pro shop when it comes to finding a resolution has been completely unacceptable.
