The Calgary Archery Centre has been locally-owned by the husband-and-wife team Alan and Lorna for the past 15 years. Our business opened in 1978 and was originally known as Robin Hood and then Vichers for a brief period. Alan worked for the previous owners for many years prior to taking ownership and changing our business’ name. Today, the couple directly handles all orders and customer support to ensure your satisfaction.

B	Brent May on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking to start into archery good place to start. Very helpful, if you're looking to buy your first bow, they'll let you try it out before you buy. They actually put one together and set one up for me to try and were laid back and let me shoot until I was sure. I did order one before I left.
D	Dawn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wasn't greeted at all, not even just upon entering. We spent about an hour there browsing (looking for a brand new compound bow and setup). No one asked us if we needed help, if we wanted to try anything, if we had any questions. Nothing. In the hour we were there, no one interacted with us at all. The archery lanes seemed quite cluttered with 3D animals. Store didn't seem overly clean but wasn't dirty. I didn't find the store was well organized but it wasn't a complete mess, either. The archery lanes themself do offer 4 different target distances so that is a bonus. I also noticed that anyone there for lane use was helped promptly and with great care. My take away is if you're going in looking to make purchases (big or small) it's not a good place if you like having help or any kind of greeting. If you're going in for lane use, they give you a lot of attention and are helpful. Personally, my first experience here was a negative one. I felt like me being in the store was a burden to them. I'm brand new to archery and had a ton of questions and was truly looking to make a large purchase and would've utilized the lanes for target practice getting ready for hunting season. I went in with high hopes based on so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same experience.

After a few practice runs they just left me to enjoy the range and popped in to check on how I was doing. Easy to get started here if your a rookie like me!

Very thorough in explaining how it all worked. Rules were simple and easy to follow. It was nice that they had lockers, tables and chairs upstairs where the target lanes were. Overall, a fun and unique experience for everyone. Highly recommended!

Absolutely phenomenal experience, and I have nothing but high praise. The biggest thing I have to note is Bill’s passion. This man helped me figure out absolutely everything. How to string, how to inspect my bow and arrows, how to shoot, the list goes on. This man loves his job, and the rest of the staff clearly do too. Very very strong recommendation, and shoutout to Bill! ?

J	Jun Yuan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was great experience at Calgary Archery Centre! The place is full of the supply of a huge selection of different kinds of bows and arrows! It was very eye-opening! The charge was very reasonable! There are two floors and we were brought to the second level! I think it was a perfect place for the beginners! Quiet, open, spacious, and less busy than the main floor! The service was excellent since it was our first time there! We were little bit nervous at the beginning, however after few practices with the thorough explanation of how to play, we were able to quickly find the correct way to shot the arrow on the target! Although some of them were really off the centre, but was totally fun and really enjoyable! Definitely will come back! Highly recommended!
