DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT! This resort is a fraud. They charged us over $300 of damage fee for damages they blame on us that we are not even aware of. There was no pre-stay or post-stay walk through. After we completed our stay, they charged an additional $300 without even contacting us. I found the charge on my credit card statement and contacted them. They refused to show any prove of damage, and said I got a "GOOD DEAL" for the damage we caused but don't have any bill for repair to show. If you don't want to get ripped off, AVOID THIS REPORT AT ALL COST. There are plenty of other resort in Sooke you can choose from.

Was a great weekend getaway. You're right along the water. It's a windy road to get there so try to go in daylight. Also, we thought we'd be able to order food but this location is pretty remote- stock up on food before you go so you don't have to leave once you're there.

The best place I have ever vacationed in my life. We had the smoothest check-in and our. The staff were excellent and even assisted us with recommendations for whale watching and dining. (All were solid recommendations that our party enjoyed). We can’t wait to go back

I can’t say enough how amazing our stay was here. A post-pandemic girls reunion in paradise found! I requested a suite facing orca alley and even though they cannot guarantee, it’s what we got! The rooms were big and comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed and the views were spectacular! The highlight was def seeing the whales whilst having morning coffee! Definitely have your groceries, otherwise you need to drive into town, but the drive is lovely as well. The check-in and check-out was smooth and everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back!!! :)

They need to update there website during booking. There different views from different rooms you book This place is constantly growing and getting better and better. I would have booked a higher end room to have “ocean view” rather then the “bay view” we got. The suite we had was amazing, everything was furnished perfectly and all the amenities were top notch. Gym is available at an additional cost per visit Stayed November 2021. Construction was active but not bothered by it at all. Yes the guest service is 9-5pm but this resort is very secluded and very quiet. Guest service is helpful when needed. It’s definitely more of an Airbnb then a hotel/resort. Lastly … don’t charge for additional coffee pods please. Maybe just don’t provide them at all. Or maybe charge a resort fee that provides access to the gym, extra coffee pods etc things needed without an additional charge for each item.

My review is long overdue!! Oh my goodness, this place is absolutely breathtaking ? I've stayed there 2 times within a 4 week time frame and I'm planning on going back there very soon. Our cottage was clean, and fresh smelling. The bathroom was very clean as well which was a major plus because that is what I always have issues with at every place we stay in. The kitchen was clean and well equipped! The bedroom was cozy and comfortable! We actually stayed in a pet friendly cottage and I swear, my husband had no idea it was pet friendly! The customer service I experienced here was absolutely amazing and was part of the reason why I stayed there twice and I'm looking forward to longer future visits. Christie and Zack really do deserve an award for their customer service skills!! They are a great representation for SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort as they are the first point of contact for customers and excellent customer service skills like theirs are hard to find! I also had a lovely email conversation with Jenn, who is the general manager at SookePoint. She was very kind and professional. She is also a great representation for SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort! Christie put up some decorations for my belated 40th birthday which was so nice to see as I walked into our cottage. Zack really accommodated us the first and second time I booked and also, when we returned the second time around there was a welcome back card and chocolate. I'm very grateful. Now, let's talk about the view and location. OMG, all I did was look out of our patio bay windows watching the waves, eagles soaring, sea lions playing, Canadian loons diving for food etc. So peaceful and serene! I've become protective of this resort in ways as it has a special place in my heart. The construction that is taking place there did not bother us at all. We were quite close to it and both my husband and I barely heard anything. Everything is being neatly done which is great! My husband is a contractor and he noticed how well things were being done and handled. As for food, make sure to bring your own food or make a trip out to the local grocery store or head to the City of Sooke to grab some food. It's lovely having your breakfast while looking at the ocean. Thank you for making the last 2 visits there absolutely special for my husband and I. I had a hard time leaving but I'm looking forward to coming back very very soon!! To everyone reading this, book a visit there soon, be respectful of the space you have rented and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the luxury of peace and serenity. You will not regret it! :)

The suite was super clean and the views are incredible! The location is somewhat remote so pack food and drinks prior to the drive in. We did go to Sooke for dinner but it is a 40 minute drive on a beautiful winding road! The staff is great and we had quite peaceful time there. Highly recommended and we would go back.
