★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed with my family in Andover cottage a couple of weeks ago. While the place was clean and spacious, there were several issues. The cottage hasn't been upgraded for a long time, e.g. the TV setup is probably close to 20 years old, with poor picture quality and no way to watch any streaming services.
A lot of deck boards are half-way rotten and it seems like a matter of time someone's foot will fall through.
Another problem is the driveway that is extremely steep, which was not mentioned at the time of booking. Luckily, I drive an SUV, but it's doubtful if an ordinary car would be able to climb up.
Finally, we had a disappointing experience at the end of our stay when the power went out in the evening and it didn't come back until the morning. It turned out it was a scheduled power outage that we should have been informed about by the property manager. Even though our last evening at the cottage was ruined, the property manager was not willing to adequately compensate us, offering just a symbolic refund.
