My partner and I stayed at the Prestige Oceanfront Resort for our friends’ wedding in March of 2022. Good: 1.) We had an ocean view room with a fantastic view. 2.) The room was clean upon arrival. 3.) We had a wonderful dinner at the West Coast Grill the night before our friends’ wedding. 4.) The day of the wedding, I spent an hour in the workout facilities, which provided a wide array of fitness equipment and clean towels. Those four points above is what justified the second star. Unfortunately, the hotel failed to deliver on numerous fronts. Bad: 1.) I’ve attached a photo of an adjacent room’s uncollected room service that remained on the floor for the duration of our stay (3 days). 2.) The pool and hot tub were quite murky, the jets in the hot tub were not operational. 3.) There is practically no air circulation in the room. Smells linger from the bathroom for extended periods of time. The air quickly becomes stale. 4.) No water is provided in the workout facilities. 5.) Liquor service at the wedding was baffling - slow, incompetent, and very basic/restrictive (both cocktails and single-shots of alcohol were not being served). As someone who has worked in the industry and whose family has both a liquor-primary license and a retail store, I was in awe at the missed opportunity for revenue generation. For a significant duration of time, there was only one [very slow] person behind the bar for approximately 100+ people (wedding-goers in particular!). The subsequently long and remarkably sluggish line drove countless guests to leave to their rooms to consume their own alcohol. Unfortunately and inevitably, this led to the poor choice by some of the guests to bring their own liquor down. I will say that the hotel was very quick to prevent the consumption of liquor purchased off-premises. Furthermore, the hotel had the DJ relay a threat to have the event shut-down if this did not cease. What I also found strange is that two men, without uniform or name tags (one taller man with slick-back hair and a shorter man with lots of tattoos), were hired by the hotel to gruffly prevent guests from taking their liquor outside (when stepping out for a cigarette, to get some fresh air after dancing, or to make a phone call). I went to step outside with a beer in my hand and one of the men touched me and told me that I was not to bring liquor outside. I didn’t know who he was and almost completely ignored his command. Good signage would be helpful. 6.) When the wedding had concluded, perhaps 20 so guests had gathered in two adjoining rooms to continue their enjoyment. I was one of them. I was excited to meet and converse with some more of the wedding party. It was a pleasant environment with most sitting and chatting. Understandably, other hotel guests had complained of the noise that we were making at that time of the night. The night manager came upstairs with immediate and loud hostility and threatened the bride, still in her wedding dress, to cease all activity or be charged for the nightly room fee of all adjacent occupied rooms. The demeanour of the night manager was extremely inflammatory and I feel that if a reasonable and calm request to turn off any music, keep voices down, or perhaps to remain off the patio then I believe the message would’ve been widely received. This hotel does not do the word β€˜prestige’ justice. I would not stay at this hotel again of my own volition.

My husband and I chose this location due to it's close proximity to the many beaches / attractions we wanted to visit. I must say I was a bit disappointed by the lack of details: no shampoo, a single bar of soap, 1 face cloth - 2 hand towels - 3 bath towels for a two queen room that accommodates 4: we should not have to request amenities. Upon entering the room I noticed a slight musty smell (I clipped a fabric sheet to the vent which helped) the room was clean but tired looking including the bathrobes. The location, pier view amazing but the rooms need refreshing.

Visited in the summer for a quick getaway from the city. We originally planned to stay only one night but got such a great impression of the hotel that we ended up extending for one more. There is a lot of parking space. What caught my attention most was the warm and welcoming newly renovated lobby as you walk in. It brought back a lot of memories of the hotels and resorts I'd visit in Mauritius. The staff were so friendly and I appreciated how many different spots there are around the hotel so that you can relax. Sitting outside and enjoying the breeze, while also having the option of turning the fireplace one was a great touch. I also loved the view from the balcony of the room. You can see the full review on my blog but overall I'd say I was very satisfied with my stay and I look forward to visiting again. I recommended this place to a few others who also went for a stay and they enjoyed it as well.

Great hotel, great location. The pool was good for us while it was quiet; not sure how it would have been if there were more people wanting to go to the pool as the room is quite small. Overall, perfect for a weekend getaway with my little family. We will gladly return.

This is by far the most beautiful hotel resort that I have been to, I can see why so many people choose to have their wedding here. There is a pool and hot tub amenities where the kids just loves so much. The court yard are well maintained with exotic plants and gases heating seats. Oh and my favourite are to watch fisherman load/ unloading their boats. And they showed off their Salmon catches.

We had a lovely one night stay mainly thanks to Fernando at the front desk who was friendly and helpful. The stay was for a friend’s birthday so I wanted to make sure everything was well prepared. I ordered an ocean view room. The room we got did give a view of the ocean but we mainly saw the parking lot. Fernando helped us switch to a nicer room. Room was clean, modern and spacious. A little birthday treat was left for my friend which made her very happy. I did have to phone ahead to request a water kettle, slippers, and robes. Overall all the staff we met were nice. It seems like the hotel is seriously understaffed; everything is self serviced. We had dinner at the the Westcoast Grill. Our waitress was friendly and patient. The manager was brisk and needs to rethink what it means to be in hospitality. First of all, he wasn’t very friendly when we wanted to change our reservation time. Then when I mentioned the pasta was indeed much over cooked his response was,” Many guests have ordered this dish and they all liked it.” He offered to take it off the bill but didn’t ask if we wanted to order something else ( we had intended to but decided against it after the brisk exchange). Overall the food was mediocre and I would not recommend the restaurant even though the view was very nice. The fisherman’s pasta had very soggy noddles. The chicken risotto dish also had over cooked risotto. The arugula salad was mainly a pile of arugula with a bit of walnuts, dried cranberries, and goat cheese. It was fine but you can’t have just a pile of arugula as the main ingredient as it’s bitter. The calamari was the blandest calamari I have ever had.

What an odd place. Gorgeous location, friendly staff, bizarre assortment (or lack of) amenities and services. Mini bars in room, but they don't use them, so they sit empty. Room service, but only til 9, and no menu or any info in the room. Staff were friendly but seemed only able to point to where things were and were uninterested in actually showing you where. They have luggage carts, but no staff to help you use them. It should be renamed the Self Serve Inn. I'm not sure resort is the appropriate label. Amazing views tho!

just now on Google I had a great time staying at this hotel even though it was for one night. All accommodations and service before and after was top notch. The room was clean and had the complimentary towels and bath items, the bed was turned down nicely, good temp in the room and there was a great view from the balcony. Just have to mention the hot tub was a little too hot that you couldn't relax and enjoy it. We began to feel dehydrated within a few minutes each time of going in. We did dinner at the restaurant where the service was awesome and I was even accommodated with a little surprise for my boyfriend's birthday dessert. The food was delicious and we even did breakfast there as well. No disappointments. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone else.
