Nice view of the water from all angles. We arrived just in time to catch the sunset so we did venture too far out on the spit this time. We did go halfway or a bit over halfway and enjoyed the views. Parking was looking tight, we lucked out, as we arrived some was leaving and we were able to grab that spot. Lots of people out walking and enjoying the fresh air and exercise. Plenty of dogs in the area too, some dogs just want to play and run free and that's fine I'm OK with it even if it says to leash your pet. If you have control of the dog and he listens when called and is used to socializing with other dogs and strangers/people, awesome let him run!!. There are people that have dogs that are growling at you as you walk along in their direction, If your dog can't be social, put it on a leash plain and simple.

Great short walk. Convenient to take your family out and enjoy some scenic views of Whiffin Spit. The parking lot is crowded and you can hardly find a spot for yourself. Dress up warmly as it quite windy out there

This has become my super favourite spot! Totally love the easy walk down the "spit" - beautiful views from both sides of the trail! A constant reminder of how beautiful a province we live in- every inch of land takes away your breath. Just a few weeks ago, I returned to Whiffin Spit for the second time in 2 years with my husband and couple friends. We all loved it. Even in Winter, it is stunning. And to our pleasant surprise, we even saw an Orca bopping in and out of the water at a distance from where we stood to watch. According to the locals, this is a rare sighting but it does happen now and then. The entire coastal stretch is dressed in ornate driftwood that adds to its colour and charm! With the mountains in the background, blue water, tanned driftwood, white seagulls flying across, beautiful homes perched along the edges makes this a perfect spot for some awesome photography! I could sit here for hours and be lost in a majestic world that only nature can offer!

This is amazing and beautiful coastal walk between the ocean and the harbour. We walked to the end and back and have seen seals that cought a fish in front of us. It was amazing. It's about a 30 minutes drive from Victoria in Spoke but it worth it.

It was really fun this is definitely a good place for dogs because of how many their were. There are also plenty of benches. This walk is really easy but it can be on the cold side.

Love this place! It can definitely get busy, so parking can be a challenge. It's nice they have a people and pet water fountain at the start, just wish it would be turned on more of the year! It's nice there is a public washroom, and garbage cans for the dog waste!
