★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This viewpoint on the shores of East Sooke, is worth stopping at to watch how the tidal currents rush in and out of Sooke Basin. The small peninsula of land on the other side of the sill is the tip of Whiffin Spit which connects to the main town of Sooke.
