★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you climb up to the top of the Mt Matheson Trail, be sure to come out of the woods and walk down the (paved) Cains Way road for a half kilometre, to catch some stunning views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympia mountain range. You will also get to see some gorgeous homes along this short diversion.
