I recently brought in an injured animal and was shocked with the attitude of the admitting staff. It is quite the drive to get an animal to safety at your facility. Possibly you could have the staff trained not to interrogate, lecture or speak to clients as if they are incompetent. I will obviously always come back as animal safety is my highest concern but some consideration and basic manners would be big a plus in the future. Thank you

Went to drop off an injured sparrow after hours. The level of tlc is immediately felt as you walk through the doors. On a beautiful quiet road in Metchosin. Their is ample parking and tons of hands willing to help you. Society needs to volunteer at this location specifically. I was told a problem of the good old Google machine will not change the Wild Arc hours when you search them via Google. So the hours are: April - August 0800-8:00 PM September 0800-630PM October - March 0800-430 PM Google quit having an automated bot calling this location to verify their hours. Take the time to physically call the amazing people at the BC SPCA Wild Arc location and confirm the hours.

Called in this morning concerning a potentially injured mallard that was not moving or responding to human approach (but was upright and very much alive). It was on Culduthel Road in Saanich on the galloping goose, right behind the Subway and the Overpass for vehicles. I had no car, nor can I even drive. No means to capture the animal and had to get to work in 5 minutes. They said they didn't have someone to send out just yet and asked if I could contain the animal. I said I wasn't able to and explained. They said they couldn't send someone out right away and tried to make me feel guilty for not being able to safely capture the animal. They suggested I take them to the 24hr hospital which was over an hour walk in the opposite direction. I couldn't. They told me to ask cyclists for help. Nobody would help me. They hung up after they said if I could drop off the animal to a clinic until they could get there that would be great. I got off the phone with the impression they were sending someone. Walking back home the spot where it had been was all torn up and there were feathers. When I called to follow up they said they never sent someone and don't unless they can guarantee someone will stay with the animal. I was so heart broken. They made me feel guilty for being unable to do more, especially if the animal was attacked due to potential injuries and being an easy target. Really upset and disappointed and will never be calling Arc with this type of situation again.

Discovering an injured animal is heartbreaking. They were able to instruct me through transporting the animal as they do not have the resources to go out themselves. They explained every step in the process and provided a file number so I could check back in. Thankful for Wild Arc!

Worst experience ever. I kept a baby rabbit alive for 24 hours, and then it took 2 hours to deliver it to them. It was euthanized immediately without them even trying to help it. Never again

Wild ARC is a place serving an amazing purpose. After looking into volunteer work and seeing what they do for the animals there, I've been blown away at how they're taken care of. Nothing but passionate animal lovers and good people at this establishment. Front desk is very friendly and would help you with any questions you may have etc.

I am so grateful that an organization like Wild ARC exists here in Victoria! I have twice called after finding wounded / orphaned seagulls, and both times the folks on the phone have been so compassionate and helpful, and organized care and transport for the seagulls quickly. Thank you so much for making it possible to help out animals in need!

The wild arc rehabilitation center is an awesome place that provides an invaluable service for animals and people alike. The staff and volunteers are outstanding, helpful and like no other. I brought in a squirrel today, after hours and they are always willing to help any creature big or small no matter time or day. They are always in need of money, food, supplies, etc so if your reading this Stop by, send them money, support the wild arc and what they do !! Always worth a visit.
