Frist off the hosts are great down to earth people..salt of the earth and no suprise fantastic hosts...They went out of there way to arrange a 2nd fan for the bedroom...surved us fresh crab on our 2nd night. The whole place has a super chill vibe going on which we really enjoy. Felt very private and didn't know the owners were there. I highly recommend this place !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My six week stay with Dave and Amanda was wonderful. The Guest House is set in a beautiful spot, it's like being in a Tree House with all the comforts of home. It provides a lovely Rural experience minutes from the Lake with great trails in one direction and a Marina the other. Its only five minutes from the local market and twenty five minutes to the Langford commercial area with any shopping anyone could want.
The Guest House is well appointed, well equipped kitchen and even some staples provided. The beds are comfy and Linen quality. WIFI is excellent and living area comfortably furnished. The back deck is large with beautiful peaceful views of the forest. Dave and Amanda are great hosts, warm, friendly and helpful while respecting their guests privacy... a perfect balance. We were even provided with a bucket of local crab..... what a treat!!
During my stay I used the Guest House to entertain out of town guests and to retreat, meditate, walk the woods. It was perfect. Thank you Dave and Amanda!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful accommodations in a peaceful secluded area. 2 living spaces to choose from. The Guest House, and the Cabin. Both impeccably well maintained. Bright, beautiful, spacious, and modern. Fire pit areas, Hot tubs, And even an out door shower at the cabin.
Only a 10 min walk to the gorgeous Matheson Lake.
If you want to get away from the fast pace of the city, Matheson Lake guest house is the place to be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful getaway from the City to this hidden fairytale land, the place is just like home, clean and fully equipped. Hosts are very accommodating and friendly. Every corner of the place can create a story. Highly recommended for those really need to getaway and relax! (WiFi is perfectly fine, but you will just want to turn off the devices and enjoy the place)
