I went into this store to buy a shoe which they did not have an placed an online order for me, twice I've been to this location both times nobody approached me or greet me whatsoever so there goes acknowledging your customer, I reached out to their online we site which said we cannot do a refund you have to go back in, go back in the store and they give me a story that their online customer service is confused and has no idea what they're talking. Once I returned upon contacting their customer service and they see me on the phone they decide to return my money but I would never recommend them at all to anyone specially their treatment of customers is beyond ridiculous and their store reviews speaks highly of this treatment.

Do NOT go to this Softmocs!!!!! I tried returning a pair of boots that were not worn but was accused and yelled at from the employee of having a sprinkle of snow on the bottom as they provide unstable boxes to hold the shoes in. I tried explaining this but again was yelled at that they were not going to be taking them. Not even an apology and explanation, I also felt extremely belittled as I tried explaining to check the condition of the boots. I was humiliated and felt embarrassed as I walk out. I called Softmocs customer service and filed a complaint as they apologized for this inconvenience and will be sending me a return shipping label as I figured going into store would’ve been an easier alternative. For management at the Hillcrest Softmoc I STRONGLY suggest reconsidering your employees and their customer service skills. Whomever I dealt with needs to be retrained on professionalism and common decency towards customers as they were not fit for working in retail or anything customer service related. Again, go to another Softmoc if you can and want to avoid any degrading customer service experience! On a positive note, I would like to add that I did in fact receive my refund :) SoftMoc’s head office/customer service was more than accommodating and understanding with the issues I had at this particular location. Also clarified that they would be looking into it further on whomever this individual was. If you do have any issues with this store call SoftMoc directly to file a complaint and you will be more than satisfied or all together just go to a different location!!!

They have a good collection of several brands of footwear. They often have some or the other sale going on, specially during the festive seasons. Should you not get a size or style available there, the staff is friendly and helpful ebough to assist you to find another store that carries the footwear. They do not give you any hard time with refunds or exchange for unopened or unused products.

Discrimination. I went in an attempt to shop for some winter boots, and the manager approached me telling me that I had to leave because I wasn't wearing a mask. I tried explaining that I am medically exempt and she insisted that I exit the store. Clearly this business does not care at all about Canadian Human rights. Will be avoiding this company from this point forward and would advise as many that actually care about their rights and the direction of this province to do the same.

Manager is rude and unprofessional. I tried to order a shoe online but they never placed an order in the first place. Their customer service is trash and they won't even pick up their phones. Don't come here. They don't know how to do their jobs right and will show you an attitude. They don't deserve their jobs and they deserve to get fired! Horrible customer service and awful mannerism.

I came in here New Years day, as I needed winter boots. I arrived right when the store opened and the lone employee was busy. She was very helpful. So why the 3 stars? Her manager did not ONCE step in to help her employee, who had to work the cash, help people with questions and find sizes for customers. The manager was also dressed really inappropriately. She is supposed to be working in a store (although, in her case "working" is a misnomer), not going to a club!

Manager needs to get fired. Seems to me that I'm not the only one with complaints about the manager at this location. I bought a pair of boots online. Tried them indoors in my home for a few minutes (tags still on). The boots were too tight so I went in to return them. I didn't in a million years think there would be any issues for a simple return. Manager tells me did you wear them? I truthfully tell her yes, just for a little bit to see if the sizing is ok (indoors on carpet) She tells me unfortunately she can't accept the return. I ask to speak to a manager and she tells me she is. Straight face, no care in the world for customer service. Never going to this location again. Been a loyal softmoc customer for many years.

If I could give them less then a star I would. I tried to return the white converse below with a receipt from three days ago. They did not fit me a half size to big. The first girl went to go tell the other girl that the shoes looked worn in and that they would not do the return. The girl wouldn’t even give me her name but says the shoes were unacceptable for a return. I have never ever worn them a day in my life and got them from the store as they are. I wish I could shut the stores down honestly for how hard they made my day. Customer service said they couldn’t do the return because they could not override the stores decision, and their suggestion was to clean the shoe and try another store, how is it fair that I have to clean the shoes they gave to me as is. Please boycott the store if you can at least they do not deserve anyone business.
