My mom purchased this for my grandmother on My 5th 2017 as a mother day gift for my grandmother. The first time she wears it on May 18th attended her nieces weeding. And than the chains are broken. We went to the store the staff told us there are damage on it. I have told them its only been wear for 3 days if there is any damage its caused by the broken chain which made the pendent fall to the ground. The staff member was at first saying its bought in 2015 after I show them receipt she said she remember it wrong with out saying sorry. Another staff member told me there isn’t enough cash to refund, but the purchase was made using credit card!!! I called the store manager Gavin Helps this mooring and he said once its been wear it cannot be returned and plus there are starches on it. I told them the damage is caused by the broken chain which made the pendent fall to the ground. He refused to admit there was a manufacture issue, refuse to do a refund and he said if I bought a new car when it starches I don’t go back to deal. He suggests me to contact my house insurances. And he refusing to say anything about staff member because he wasn’t there so he did not see it My grandmother in her mid 80’s with stage 3 heart failure only wears it for 3 days even if she wants starches it she is not able to. For you fellows who wants to buy here please reconsider it. If you are willing to take the risk considering. Clearly Gavin Helps the store manger said they only accepts return is its not been wear. But if you not wearing it how do you know it there is any defect. This time my grandmother’s housekeeper found it and return to her, that because my grandmother rarely goes out. But if she lost outside in a mall there is no chance of finding it. If you just must buy it here please get a house insurance before you buy it. As the manager had suggest that’s where you should go to seek compensation And I just filled a complain to consumer protection BC its a lot of work but I am willing to do it whatever it takes as I have never encounter anythings like this before.

The store is absolutely sensational, all the employees are soo friendly and professional, the designs of rings here are absolutely magnificent!! I definitely recommend that everyone should check this place out as there’s a lot of pricing and financing options available to get the ring you love.

I broke the chain of my favorite necklace from my love! I needed the perfect replacement. I looked into the stock online and found it! Went in with my picture from the website and a description, and I left brilliance member (thanks to the lovely lady at the desk), with my perfect chain around my neck at a discount! I could not be happier. I have the very best experience at any Michael Hill I visit, I've written glowing reviews for other locations, and I will absolutely always come back. Thank you!

My son had just purchased an engagement ring for his fiancΓ© and unfortunately past way just a few weeks after the return policy was in effect. This would have left his fiancΓ© with a huge financial burden to pay for the ring as she was unemployed. Michael Hill kindly took the ring back with a full refund. I am so grateful to them as is my sons fiancΓ©. Thank you!

Happy with the great deal they gave me on a recent purchase. My only feedback is why not offer me the best price the first time instead of making me ask 3 times. I finally got the price but again.... lead with your best price when able. Gorgeous stones!

So I bought a pair of earrings from here.I was so excited! Turned out the stems are bigger than every other pair of earrings I have owned for the last 35+ yrs. Nobody told me they were not the standard size when I purchased them. For two weeks I have been trying to get them in. Other people tried to put them in for me too. They just don't fit. The girl said she didn't think she needed to tell me they were a different size when she sold them to me. Well I didn't think to ask! I came into the store today wearing earrings that I purchased from this store, so my holes are fine. Now I find out that I can't return or even exchange these new ones because they are earrings. Also neither the original receipt or the sales staff said I couldn't come in later and return them. As if that isn't bad enough I also purchased the most expensive warranty for these earrings that I can't wear. I am sorry, I feel like this is terrible customer service! Never shopping at any of these stores again.

Something to know before purchasing here: Michael Hill is a retailer, not a jeweller. They outsource their jewelry production and maintenance. Michael Hill won't take responsibility for damages their jeweller caused to your items. The photos show that their rings are made with cast metal (ie. mass produced), shown by the holes in the metal, which would not appear in individually made rings. This is a disappointment as it wasn’t exactly an β€œaffordable β€œ ring. In July 2021, I purchased a 10k white gold diamond halo aquamarine ring and was offered a 3-year extended warranty and resizing for free. I took advantage of that warranty, coming back 2 months later to get the prongs checked and regular cleaning, NOT requesting and repairs as it was still in pristine condition. I got the ring back in October, but saw one of the diamonds was loose, so I asked for it to be sent back just to tighten that particular prong. What was supposed to be one issue to repair became a nightmare the second time I got my ring back. The outsourced jewellers did an insultingly poor job: - nicked the band in three places - burnt residue onto the diamonds, making them cloudy When I pointed those issues out, one staff told me the jewellers don't fix normal wear and tear. That came as a shock as I haven't had the ring for 5 weeks at that point for ME to cause the damages, and the nicks happened to be where jewellers would pin the rings down with their equipment when working on it. So I asked to send it back again, only a few minutes after I got it back. The jewellers thinned out the white gold band so it had uneven thickness throughout, and they would not do anything to the burnt diamonds. Michael Hill would not refund me when I asked after having the ring botched from what was supposed to be a simple cleaning. Their reason: it was already resized. I agree with their "no returns after resizing policy", but I NEVER agreed to having my jewelry damaged in the care of their contractors. They only offered a "discount" next time I came back, which was just insulting after the emotional rollercoaster they put me through.
