LINK Apartments Ellerslie - Edmonton

The location and concrete design is amazing. The building is professionally managed, staff are very helpful, and building is secure. There are plenty of businesses close by, and only 1 bus to get to LRT station. I recommend this building to many others in the area, as many are poorly managed and unprofessional, based on my experience looking for accommodations in the area.

This building is by far the NICEST rental building in the Southside. The finishes are high end and very modern. The staff are very knowledgeable as they are long term Regency employees so that makes it very easy to communicate policies and building regulations so all the tenants are on the same page and happy. I highly recommend this building if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to live.

I’ve been living in this apartment complex for 11 months now and it’s been one hell of an experience. DO NOT GO WITH ANY ONE OF THE Killam Apartment Reit Properties within Edmonton. This company doesn’t take there residences seriously. Firstly I’m on day 5 of having no AC and it’s currently 26 degrees in my unit right now!!! After talking to the resident manager, it turns out they have multiple units (10+) with the same problem and not to mention all the hallways and common spaces being very warm as well. I would consider this to be an emergency situation to which mechanical companies have measures in place to respond 24hrs a day. I’ve left, not one or two but three voicemails including the one from today, with the property/regional manager for Alberta. I started my inquiries on June 23 after the parking garage was closed for cleaning. This would bring me to my second concern regarding the garage cleaning. Every other apartment complex I’ve lived in, they would never do the full cleaning in one day. They would always provide you with a temporary parking stall for the day. But instead Links never provided us with any other places to park for the day. For someone who works from home and has two vehicles, this was very frustrating. This building doesn’t offer any outside parking. This inconvenience caused me to work from my car for the day, so I wouldn’t get towed at my expense. I’m posting this review in hopes that someone from Killam Apartment Reit Properties will contact us back!!! One final positive comment to share in this post. The current resident managers are fantastic. I completely understand that these situations are out of their control and I emphasize with their position.

The fact that most of the positive reviews are written by the actual employees of the company speaks for itself. Instead of focusing on the real building problems they write 5 star reviews for themselves. They’d better focus on cleaning the building and finally removing dirty elevator wall covers (they have been there for almost a year, like building is constantly on construction). I would not recommend these apartments since overall quality doesn’t match the price.

This is the worst place to rent with. When I first applied to live in this building they didn’t accept me and my partner because we we’re in our early 20’s and they said we were “ too young” We literally had to have my sister in law put herself on the lease and we had to pay 3 months of rent upfront + a full amount of $1295 for the damage deposit which isn’t fair at all because the rest of the building only pay’s $500 for DD. My lease is almost up and the rent is jumping from $1295 all the way to $1700 EVEN IF I SIGN ANOTHER LEASE, which makes no sense at all because they have bigger units for that price . I’ve been trying to contact someone regarding this issue and each time I do, I’m ignored. Don’t waste your time with this company, all they think about is the money.

Tried to apply and get a hold of someone to see how the application was going and got nothing but silence or the runaround about leaving messages with the office on site but yeah nothing . I can just imagine how they treat there actual residents in the buildings As a former building manager kinda shows they don’t care and I always responded quickly especially in this competition market as they are not the only ones renting and offering incentives. It’s Jan/Feb so not much movement happens and applications are low.

I have been trying to hold of someone to get into and book for viewing but no one answered the phone and left voicemail and never get back.then last week I tried calling again maybe for 20 th time and someone answered the phone and got my information and said will get back again with the availability and viewing. It’s been a week and never got back to me. I can’t imagine how poor is these peoples customer service. I don’t know how to run a business like this. This not just happened to me. My friend also inquiring to rent with Link apartment since weeks. No one answering or helping. I have never experienced this kind of poor customer service in my life. If the owners see this review, it’s time to change your staff. Very disappointed!!!!!!!

I had worst experience with 11189 ellslie road Link apartments last year. we rented for a year and when we moved out , building watch person Kate gave us list of move out cleaning. Our unit was so clean had no pets. Me and my partner was living in the house. They said we needed to do steam cleaning and of cause we had a steam cleaning machine and it was only one room to steam clean. They were demanding to do hire a professional and was asking the receipt or otherwise they would cut 150$ from our deposit. Carpet was very clean and honestly it even did not needed any steam clean. However they smartly charged that money and said they would hire professionals and clean the unit. after we moved out one of my friends got in to that unit and she said carpet wasn’t steam cleaned. These management just looking something to steal your money. Be careful when you renting with these people. They are very bad at customer service and even you have problem at unit they will take forever to fix it. While we were in the building hallway and elevators was dirty. Only clean once a while. Don’t disappoint yourself.
