Avoid working and shopping at this store at all cost! The owner, Simon Cheung, does not treat his staff the way they should be treated. For example, the owner will be watching you excessively through the cameras. Don’t expect to have your pay cheque on time either. As well, good luck planning anything in life because he will send the schedule the day before you need to work or put you β€œon call” and expects you to be free for the whole day to work. Did I mention there is no direct deposit? Yes, this company still pays their staff with paycheques, which I stated earlier, are given late. Simon’s nephew, Kingsley Cheung, is the manager at Sneaker Box, and will constantly yell at you. The manager, Sandy Hu, will be two faced with you and will throw you under the bus to cover for herself. Now why should you avoid shopping at J2? They increase the price of their merchandise; for example, winter jackets that the company were not able to sell years ago, they will mark the price up back to regular price once the winter season arrives again! This company does not just do this with winter jackets, but with all merchandise! They are ripping off their customers! Furthermore, if they have @nike or @adidas shoe releases they will pre-sell to their β€œVIP” customers. Furthermore, at the J2 Richmond location customers were advised to spend $1000 to enter the raffle for Yeezys!

I would never shop from this store again! 2 weeks ago my mom was sold a black romper that was on sale which turned out "cannot be washed". No one mentioned anything about no washing to her at the store as she would totally not have bought it if she knew, especially there's covid now! Even before covid, we always wash our clothes before wearing them. As soon as she put the romper in water, the water turned into black ink and stained everything else! So she went all the way back to the store with the romper the next day to ask for refund or exchange which is the least we think they should do. But they refused and said it's our own problem now so nothing will be done. Poor quality clothing (actually the worst discoloration I've ever seen) and poor customer service. Good luck if you are considering shopping there ?

The staff and store manager was very cool and very helpful. I enjoyed the store too because it was trendy, organized, clean and very inviting. The store had music i enjoy listening to (but it was not blaring like some stores I have been to in the past, not necessarily here in BC ofcourse)so that was another factor that drew me in the store. The store was was well stocked and I had no trouble looking for what I needed. I highly recommend this store for the next cool guy or gal.

The manager speaks mandarin but pretended to not understand it when a Chinese lady tried to ask a refund for quality issue. It would be kind of funny if it wasn’t so unprofessional.

Metrotown has 100s of stores but this is the only one which forbids you to walk around with a drink. In my case I had a relatively safe booster juice with a lid on the cup and straw, but after being in the store with my family for a couple of seconds an employee pounced on me and told me to put my cup down or leave the store! I promised not to touch any merchandise while in the store but they repeated their demand. I asked to speak to the manager but the manager wasn't there. I asked what they would do if I ignored the demand. They said they would get the manager! At this point the conversation was getting too silly and we left... Never too go back!

I went to the store on Tuesday(Nov 30,2021) and the timings to close the store on the website is 9pm. The store was closed at 7:30 PM. Employee mentioned it’s just for today. Would you please update the closing timings to 7:30PM ? If that’s the case. Cuz we came to the store to purchase a birthday gift and it was so disappointing.

Just walked past this place in the mall just past 7, and heard very loud music repeatedly blaring the uncensored N word into the mall from the speakers of this store. I was in a hurry, but I walked back to make sure I knew what store it was coming from, and while I didn't try to go inside, I assumed they were closed if they were playing music with inappropriate language, I'm pretty sure it can only be this one. It says they're open until 9, but even if they were closing early, not okay to have that music blasting out into the mall while children walk past!
