They do not know how to fix computer and so expensive fee after you let them do testing for your computer. They will let you join membership. Do not do it, because it gonna cost you more money and you cannot cancel before you paid them one year membership fee. Always let you wait long time to get answers and so many excuses let you more testing and charge you more money.

It took over a month to get my tv back from repair.Also had extended warranty. Instead of replacing my tv they spent $800 to fix a $1600 tv from almost 2 years ago.

Poor customer service. They continued to charge my credit card $20 a month after i was told the service was complete. They advised no refunds and that was it!! Very frustrating and i will never buy from them or Best Buy again. If thats all they care about is money they can stuff it.

Geek squad telephone representative didn’t understand anything I was saying. Me: β€œthe picture on the screen keeps flipping”; them: β€œso your tv won’t turn on ?”. This went on for 10 minutes. Took a week for someone to look at it...and I’m still waiting for a repair or update. Life is too short, not worth the frustration.

Bought two computers with Best Buy and the customer service for geek squad is beyond terrible. You cannot get anyone on the phone and will always need to visit the store. Even if Best Buy takes a message for geek squad to call you back, it will not happen. For this reason, I will not buy any more electronics from Best Buy and I will not ever use geek squad again in the future. Save your money on the monthly plan for computer services as you get next to nothing for the $25 a month you pay

Ive trying to get an exchange for a defective laptop since February. I bought for my mother for christmas, shes old, so she didnt know there was a 'smudge' on the screen until it 'grew' like branches. Geek squad told us to get it checked out by Dell since its under the manufactor warranty. Sent it to dell. Dell told us they can replace it but bestbyy gotta sent it back to dell under their name. Laptop returned and then sent to bestbuy/geek squad. (Told us theyll 'waive' the $60 shipping fee.... Dell literally told them that the warrenty stuff is under bestbuy. So of course they need to pay for the shipping fee for a defective laptop bought at that location.) Now, Geek squad calls us and tells us its OUR fault the laptop was broken and is now telling us to pay up. A big mess and a big joke.

The truth about the Geek Squad Warranty: I paid for an expensive Geek Squad protection plan for my cell phone. They do not mention to you when they sold it that there is a $100 fee for a new phone, and an $800 deposit for the new phone that only gets reversed once they receive the old phone. The new phone I got was not able to charge or turn on even consistently. I took it to Geek Squad a few times and they said I could only do it over the phone. After that, my health declined and I was never able to send back either phone before the time period elapsed. So now I'm out over $1000 after credit card interest and Geek Squad is not willing to do anything. Taking money for services not rendered is fraud and I wish I was healthy enough to expose this further with legal action. Best Buy and Geek Squad are complicit and from other reviews it appears their dishonest practices and service knows no bounds.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I can agree with others that say they take your money for services not rendered. I was just in an online chat with a customer service representative and she abruptly ended the chat as I was asking questions. I do hope head office reads this review and contacts me as I have the chat saved. Buyer beware.
