Days Inn by Wyndham Thunder Bay North

I stayed in a two queens room for a night due to a last minute trip. The room was very well cleaned and rather spacious, and the beds were rather comfortable as well. The room also had a decently sized television and mini-fridge, in addition to a long vanity in the washroom. The hotel also offered a continental breakfast, although I did not partake in it as I had decided to sleep in. I would note that the hotel's incidentals policy requires a credit card in case of any damages, and is rather strict on this. I do have to praise the gentleman whom checked me in however for helping to make an exception for me due to the circumstances of my trip, and my only carrying debit. Overall, I had a wonderful stay.

The hotel was amazingly clean and was a perfect stay. The only main complain was that the front desk lady was alone and was taking a very long time to check us in and she would really use some help and training with faster check ins.

On the morning of Dec 18th at approximately 2am I was assaulted by another resident who I believe was intoxicated. They had claimed I stole something of theirs. After this situation these two residents were allowed to stay in the hotel "as long as they stayed quiet". This situation was handled poorly by the man at front desk. I was provided a free room upgrade so these individuals didn't know where I was staying, but I still don't feel safe with them being allowed to stay on property. I am hoping to speak with the manager tomorrow and explain why the handling of this situation was extremely inappropriate. If I wasn't reliant on the hotel being close to the hospital I would have left for another hotel.

Great staff, clean, bed is so comfortable ? fairly quiet building sometimes the plumbing is a bit loud but that's out of people's control. Will definitely stay here again if passing through

Stayed here 2 different nights in February 2022 - 1 going to Peterborough and 1 coming back from Peterborough. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, the hotel itself was very clean and the staff were friendly enough. Both nights we stayed here this hotel was fully booked and the parking was crazy full. The first night the hotel staff was very accommodating as I had to park beside their stall for their maintenance vehicle (There were no other parking spots available), and although the sign on the one stall suggested both spots were for maintenance, they let me stay parked there over night. Thank you! I found this hotel a bit pricey compared to others with the same cleanliness and comforts. One thing they could change would be getting plugins for EVERY stall. ALL stalls should have plugs - this is Canada! This hotel maybe had 14 spots along the front of the building that had plugins. The second night I waited and watched and ran down to move my car into an energized stall as soon as someone left. Temperatures dropped that night down below -30 Celsius when we were there! Breakfast was minimal, small muffins, apples, fruit cup, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice oh and I think a pancake maker which I used the 2nd stay and we had to take it with us as Covid restrictions were different in Thunder Bay than in Brandon. Except for the much higher price, the plugin issue and the minimal breakfast, this was a clean and comfortable place to stay. 4/5 stars... Thank you L. Wagner

Loved my experience here. It’s sort of out of town so it seems safer more isolated. Clean, modern and updated. Friendly staff. Lots of parking. Would recommend and will likely make this my preferred place to stay when passing through.

Save your money! This place is priced high and it isn't worth it. The rooms are just adequate. The sink in my room drained really slowly. The breakfast they offer is the worst of anywhere. They have very limited choices. No hot food. There was a broken pancake machine. The orange juice was out. I brought everything to the attention of the woman at the front desk but it seemed like she ignored me. Didn't even say thanks for the info. A totally lousy attitude. Don't bother with this place.

Their staff was excellent. Caroline at the front desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for our trip. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
