Landmark Hotel

Affordable and convenient, friendly staff, definitely different having a Liquor store, Bar and grill as well as a restaurant all attached. Also placed conveniently next to a plaza with a Walmart, No Frills and Dollerama, all amenities were within walking distance.

The staff are very friendly and they make you feel comfortable. The room I stayed in was very spacious and quiet. The restaurant food was delicious. I had a amazing stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Very nice staff at front desk and recently renovated rooms were great, but the stench of cigarette smoke billowing into our room made it impossible to sleep. Kept waking up wheezing; eyes and lungs were burning. Spend an extra $20 and stay somewhere else

Arrived late with a little trepidation having read some of the reviews! Room was large and clean, front desk extremely helpful. Would stay again, good value for money.

the rooms are sub par however the restaurant has awesome food which makes up for everything else. the bar which is attached has lousy service if you are a person of color

The rooms aren't the cleanest, there is gum stuck to the floors, hair everywhere. Very loud and noisy, the noise kept me up; didn't get a good rest. Employees were banging on the door first thing in the morning, not a great first experience.

The check in was decent we had a ground level outside entrance patrolled regularly by people who smoked and glared as they walked past but hey....they leave you alone. The room was clean but certainly not sound proof or smoke proof. There was a lady who at times worked the desk and was always face timing friends...she would become enraged if you disturbed her face time session...the hot tub was ghastly...think I will throw away those trunks.

Where to begin. We knew we wouldn't be staying at an upscale place, but we certainly didn't expect to spend the night in fear and drenched in the smell of cigarette smoke. We are still unsure if part of the hotel is smoking, if someone else simply disregarded a no smoking policy, or if the seal for the outside access door was so poor it let in the cigarette smoke from the band of merry, boisterous souls smoking outside, but the smell was so pungent we could taste it. The staff didn't even look at us for several minutes when we entered the hotel to check in and again for check out. The restaurant was alright, but getting to order was several minutes of being told we had the wrong number, being passed onto other lines, and being hung up on. The food was ok, nothing I would happily get again but it did for hungry tummies. The rooms sound proofing was nonexistent, and the joyful adventures of other patrons kept us up very late, the beds were decently comfortable, but the room furnishings were a mix of upgrade and leftover from better days gone by. The door to the hotel had a gap large enough we tried to shove towels underneath to dampen noise, light, and smell, to find said towel missing in the morning. The place seems to be a regular haunt for some liquor-soaked people who, thankfully, only disturbed us with noise, but they were loud and rowdy and were another ingredient to a terrible night sleep. I wouldn't recommend for any reason to anyone besides getting into the mood for writing a novel about seedy hotels and colorful pastimes.
