This is a 2 star hotel that gets ⭐️⭐️ out of five. It has a third world charm (my bathroom has wifts of sewage) that might work for people on a budget but it’s the only hotel I’ve encountered in Canada that you needed a keycard to get into in the middle of the day. You couldn’t use the front doors for entrance, (they were exit only) and the hottub was not in service. The lobby is barebones (no couches or sitting area) and the dated rooms remind me of a backpacker’s hostel. If you can afford to stay elsewhere, I would recommend that.

Great front desk staff, clean rooms and great view. I had the corner room facing Lake Superior, it was great. What's not great about the Prince Arthur? The elevator. I'd stay again.

The room was decent, the service was AWFUL! My friend and I checked in one evening with my 3 month old baby. I went outside to grab my last bag and the door was locked and had my room key, I could see the security guy standing right there. So I just rang the bell, and all he had to do was walk a few steps to open the door for me. When he opened the door I showed him my key and was like ‘sorry I wasn’t sure how to work it but I have my key’ then he just snapped at me and said ‘ya it’s all in writing there for you to read’ responding in an awful tone. All I was thinking was ‘wow this guy is super rude’ and walked away without saying anything. We ended up checking out the next day to stay at the Delta. There are better hotels down town Thunder Bay with way better service! I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is meh tbh. The room we got, We dont got the following >AC >the keyfob door is broken. Anyone can barge in and take ur stuff here >curtains are old and ripped bath tub has ceramic cracks it gets cold at night the elevator is old and slow You get coffee whitener no actual real creamers hotel is a historic hotel called Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel & Suites in thunder bay Historic is fine and all but it doesnt really hurt to have to some good modernization. Also a night is about $200/night with no free continental breakfast. Come on now Location is fine. But everything else is just lacking

0 stars. Disgusting rooms, my cold water tap on the sink doesn’t turn so my sink is only boiling. Showers are so sketchy, temp changed and burned me without me touching the dials. I got stalked through the parking lot by a drunk guy. Many drunks at this hotel, loud people and disrespectful guests. Try to avoid this hotel if possible

The hotel itself is average. Room was ok. But given the location and atmosphere, it was totally overpriced at $150 a night. The part of town this hotel is in, is almost derelict. The presence of a security guard inside the hotel made it feel worse. Many other places in Thunder Bay sold out. If you are traveling on that route, plan your journey so you don't stop in Thunder Bay, or do your research in advance.

Room’s were pretty gross and smell of smoke. There is quite the night life outside and inside the hotel. Also the room was super hot even though air conditioning was put on super cold

I was genuinely shocked with this hotel. I would rate a 0 if I could. The front desk staff were fantastic, which was the only redeeming feature. I paid 220 dollars for a pet friendly room. The sheets were filthy, the blinds had holes in them and let all the light in, the TV wasn’t working, and the shower head was coming off the wall in a 70s style, outdated, dank smelling bathroom. The room was humid, while the hallway was not, and the room had an awful stench. It looked and smelled like it hadn’t had a proper clean in years. Let me remind you; I was charged 220 dollars for this. The front staff moved us to a different room. While it smelled better and was much more clean, it was still humid and not a 200 dollar room. Not to mention all of the commotion and noise. I would STRONGLY recommend not traveling here alone by any means, as we were approached for money and harassed every time we left our room. Don’t do it. It’s not worth it. Go somewhere else.
