K	Kristina X on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is nightmare. This is disaster. At first I had to look for the owner, he wasn't in the office, I had to wait a long time for him and try to call him. The room is literally like an horror movie old motel. The paint comes off the walls a little, everything is dirty, the sheets are dirty, everything is old. I wouldn't stay there even for free. I remember this with a shudder.

He gave me the code to my reserved room. I unpacked and an hour later was told I had to leave because he had double booked the room. When I made a fuss he threatened me, said if I didn't leave he would call the police.

After 20 hours of driving we arrive to Thunder Bay and our usual hotel has oversold the rooms so the guy tries to help us find somewhere else (a lot was booked). We end up at this place. We walk in, first impression is not great. See another room upstairs and it stinks so stick with the first. We have already picked up our food and are starving so eat (with some sort of fruit flies trying to dive bomb my meal). When we start bringing our stuff in the fun really begins. There is hair all over the bathroom and the room is just dirty. I suggest we check the bed. Hair. Stains. We try to ask for our money back and receive a good 15min rant about why he will not and a threat to call the police. He retrieves “new from the box sheets” and brings them through the door. He was horrible to deal with especially after a long day. Oh! And this room was somehow $76 when the one we usually stay it (which is clean and the guy is super lovely, Nights Inn) was considerably cheaper. During COVID especially I should not have to be checking the cleanliness of a room before I stay. Go anywhere else. Sleep in your car. I would have.

In the morning we can't sleep in cause of a caretaker doing snow removal very loudly and on top of it a repair man was executing some work or else at 9 o'clock without warning under on room
T	Tim Ouimet on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed at the Modern for a night. In fairness it was literally the only motel that had vacancy. It didn't suck, though the motel room was slightly out dated. No coffee in room. That'd be my only complaint. Was clean and comfortable bed. Which was exactly what we needed. Hot water and clean towels. Perfect.
