★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Manager, Rhonda, is such a nasty woman. One of her employees was wearing a jacket. Rhonda casually asked why. The employee said she was cold. A minute later, Rhonda said "can you take your jacket off? You got a logo or something?" It did not sound like a request, but a casual question. The employee said "no, I'm good" Rhonda said (loudly) "Well I'm not good. Take your jacket off" now in the voice of an impatient mother scolding a child. There were customers at the till paying, which is where Rhonda was standing.
The employee retreated into the back, looking embarassed, and Rhonda had the audacity to say, again loudly (maybe it's her only volume) still standing at the till while someone else was ringing a sale through, "So unprofessional" What. The. Actual....??
So, I said "Actually, what's unprofessional is you scolding your employee in front of customers." Her response? Not, hey you're right. Hey sorry about that. Instead she says "Well, I already told her twice" Whaaaaaat??? First, no you didn't because we could all hear you. Second, even if you did, it doesn't justify being so nasty and trash talking your employee in front of other employees and customers!
It was a cute, casual jacket, not a parka, but whatever, maybe it's store policy. Still, a child knows you have a conversation about rule breaking in private, not shouting in a room full of people.
It's impossible to find contact info for Claire's Canada which is probably why this woman ia still employed. I think every negative review mentions her by name.

I witnessed the manager question if a black man paid even though he had a bag with a receipt. like bro? is this manager ok ??? like shes worked there for 3 years how has she not gotten fired? oh and you can't accuse people of shoplifting with no evidence

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Won't recommend. Got my cartilage piercing done,I was in so much pain and bleed but girl sho did mine said its normal pain and bleeding, it'll be ok in 2 to 3 days. I waited and on 5thday couldn't tolerate pain, swelling, redness anymore so went to dr and he told me it's on nerve that's y not gonna heal properly. Girl charged me extra money too. And when I asked she was giving me stupid reasons. Totaly unprofessional and not trained staff.

RHONDA!!! Did it and she actually pierced my ear at an angle which is why my ear didn't heal even after 2 months.
She is one RUDE HUMAN who isn't happy with herself and always yelling
Idk if Claire's team is reading these or not but replace Rhonda.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give a 0 star to the manger of claires, Rhonda. Unlike the manager, the employees are very kind and treated there peers and customer very nicely. The manager was mean and could not talk in any voice except loud and mean. My sister was looking at the baby earings as the employee instructed and the manager came and said no with with the loudest and meanest voice that could exist. After we were done we went to pay. She was at the cash register and was making fun of me and yelling at me because my ears hurt. After that she yelled at her employee for no reason. I really don't recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried coming in an hour before close but was ignored despite being the only customer in the store. Manager didn't make eye contact when I tried speaking to her, and her dismissive tone made me leave. Tried again later on a busy morning before Christmas, and the two staff (not the manager) were extremely pleasant and accommodating, despite being busy. Big difference that attitude can make!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here to get my cartilage pierced and the employee was new to piercing and asked ,I believe, a manager for help, which is totally understandable. The manager then attempted to pierce my ear and failed, pricking my ear and causing to bleed. The manager didn’t even apologize, she just gave me a ear cleaning solution and proceeded onto the next customer. Really don’t recommend getting pierced here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in to get my 10 year old sons first ear piercing and met Rhonda. She was amazing and put him right at ease. She made it pain free and quick. She was cheerful and very easy going. I was glad we could make her laugh by my son trying to get a game out of me for "taking it like a champ". Would highly recommend Rhonda and this location! See you for his next piercing!!
