The staff were very helpful in helping me clear up an issue caused by Rayner Insurance. They were friendly and thorough. I'd recommend them any time.

I have dealt with Cherry insurance for many years. Their customer service from when you request any sort or assistance is very poor on a few levels. One their rate of response to get anything done. Also I've found a few times when they are seemingly overwhelmed or understaffed they just simply do not answer the phone during business hours or are quite annoyed that you are calling within 30min of closing time. If possible look elsewhere for insurance brokerages because assisting the customer is not what they seem to be about.

Strong negative experience I had visiting this branch in person on June 26, 2021 at approximately 1 PM. Waited in line for roughly 20 minutes. When I approached the female teller, I explained I was a new Saskatchewan resident and needed to get a new drivers license for the province + new vehicle insurance. The lady immediately seemed unhappy after hearing this, and handed me an SGI booklet in a condescending tone asking whether I had all required documents. After explaining and proving I had the required documents, she stated "I need a break, I'm sorry" and told me to speak to the other teller. She left and went on her break. Red flag, poor customer service skills. I went back in line and waited a few minutes for the next teller. This male teller was more polite, but unhelpful. He was not knowledgeable, and refused to accept some of proof of Saskatchewan residency documents I presented with no clear or logical explanation as to why. Frustrated, I left the office not wanting to argue my case. I immediately went to a difference insurance broker (not Cherry Insurance) who accepted my documents without any issue. I'm glad I had a negative experience with this company upon arriving to Saskatoon, as I now know to completely avoid them in future.

This is a personal review and not necessarily for the company. I had a great interaction with Jennifer Neovard at the MCormand office and wanted to give a public shout to her. She provided great, warm and welcoming customer service skills and was knowledgeable about the right policy for my home. Thanks Jennifer for making an impact, it is well appreciated.

Update: Reached out again and I will say we got better service this time. Hugh Sutherland helped us out and was much more accommodating and responsive. For that reason I'll be bumping the rating up a bit. ------- However, my previous review will stand, for Broker Jill Hilton. I have been a "client" of this Cherry Insurance branch for over a decade (maybe close to two) and I have never had a company do so little work to have my business. There must have been a time where I was satisfied with the effort put in, but right now...it's not happening. Communication I would rate at a zero. Most recently I've reached out to a broker on 3 or 4 different occasions for a simple request that is straight up ignored. And that's really just the general idea of this place. Thousands of dollars spent at this place, and not so much as a phone call or email to say, "hey we'll look into that for you". Want something done? Go to the branch, inconvenience yourself and likely hear one of their staff complain there's too much work and not enough people. I'm over it.

I bought a car in Alberta and was trying to get plates and a package policy. A lady (long grey curly hair) β€œhelped” me. She was absolutely useless, did not understand what I had been told on the phone from SGI and was apparently unaware of the new west partnership. When I said I would go somewhere else she called her manager over, they both scoffed and she said β€œgood luck” in a condescending tone. She was rude and kept saying how she wanted to close early. I went to knight archer by the new Costco and was helped in half the time by a much nicer lady. Overall I’m very disappointed with the service I received and hope this review helps others avoid this place.
