If you can afford to, it’s more effective to just order a bunch of items online and return what you don’t like than wait an hour in line. The lineup really undermines the point of having a flagship store. I would suggest having an appointment model. You will make a lot of people happier with your products.

13:30 November 22 , 2018 waiting in line outside for over 45 minutes Just to purchase glove/mittens. Their Reason was that they wanted to give every customer 1-1 service. While you wait they serving water bottles, when it’s so cold outside ! Then once ready to purchase I had to wait for 10+ minutes, because there was only 1 out of 2 tills open. The lady manager with short hair asked me if there was anything she could help me with. I told her all I want was to purchase my mittens...she then told me just wait since there is only 1 cashier and the other till was broken. Another cashier asked if I needed any help ? She was willing to open the other “Broken” till to make the final sale ! Shame!!!! I walked out 14:47 ??

I had the worst customer service experience in my life! From the first phone call when I complained about the bad smell coming from the fur (newly bought jacket) till every single follow up to get back my fur (without even bothering changing it for me as it smells really bad). They kept my fur for 2 months now, “for inspection purposes” and then the answer was, as per their specialists it’s normal for the natural fur to have a bad smell! I feel really disappointed paying that much of money for that kind of service. Not in anyway comparable to any of the other brand name companies!

DO NOT BUY!! QUALITY HAS DETERIORATED! 100% NOT WORTH THE MONEY! I can’t even begin to describe how incredibly disappointed I am with my new purchases. I recently bought 2 parkas (trillium for me and Lorette for a family member) over the holidays. I had been waiting years to finally upgrade my winter parka (a north face) and was also excited to share this new level of comfort and warmth with a loved one. But we both aren’t wearing our parkas because they are completely unfit to keep us minimally warm in Montreal, Canada under -5 degrees Celcius. Admittedly, the service at the store was phenomenal. The staff was so attentive, patient, and good humored. But the positive experience ends there. What a waste of money! I quickly noticed that my arms got cold once I went outside. And as a person who loves spending time outdoors in the winter time and has successfully done so without ever having a similar issue, this was disconcerting! I’ve noticed that there is almost no insulation around the arms (just the shell and the inner lining), which explains the immediate cold we feel. I’ve contacted the warranty department, as instructed by the store, to address the issue. I’ve discovered that not only do we have to pay the shipping fees to send items to the warranty department, we also have to pay 45$ + tax for dry cleaning fees, supposedly to ensure we do not transmit COVID-19 to the employees (that was the explanation from the customer service agent. Although interestingly, public libraries function fine and limit the transmission of the virus by putting the books in quarantine for a few days…). All this….to get a darn parka to keep me warm in the first place! Lessons learned that I wish to impart on others: 1)Canada Goose might have been a high quality product once upon a time (I got one for my husband 10 years ago and he still loves it) BUT IT IS NO LONGER THE CASE! Find another brand if you wish to buy something that will keep you warm. 2)Don’t get sucked into the very good service at the store. Once you have a coat, you’re stuck with it and the customer service after purchase is laughable. 3)Don’t call customer service because all they can do is read their warranty policy over, and over to you.

My mom and I came to visit from Ottawa today and decided to stop by Canada Goose. We were beyond satisfied with the service at this location. All of the staff and employees were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome, but one employee, Kadeena, was more than helpful! She helped us pick out exactly what we wanted with no trouble at all! I highly recommend. Thank you guys again, we love the items!

I went to the downtown Canada goose was served by a great staff although Jesse was one who stood out and valued customer service. He was very customer centric to ensure the Canada goose brand goes write down to service. If I were in a position to hire Jesse he delivers many qualities I noticed during my stay at the store purchasing a Canada goose spring jacket. Leaving this store I recognized the value of Jesse beyond the product

Yesterday the store smelled so strongly I could barely breathe and I am not sensitive to perfumes. 24 hours later, my own clothes smell strongly like the perfume they spray in the store and I did not touch anything. Very attentive employees and easy to shop when it's not busy.

I never intended to buy a Canada Goose garment, particularly because the company does not have sales even though every other clothing retailer in Montreal (and around the world) offers significant discounts during Black Friday, Boxing Day, and when a season is ending and new merchandise are arriving for a new season. While Montreal has had a "mild" winter so far this season, it did have several extremely cold days and snowed a few days. My beloved Kanuk parka, rated for -25 degrees C, came in handy when it was very cold on 11th January. But I wish I had a warmer parka with more pockets that day. (On most winter days, my Icebreaker base layers and North Face Gore-Tex down jacket are plenty sufficient to keep me warm outside.) Thus, I kept going back to the Canada Goose Montreal store to learn more about its parkas and to try to understand why its garments are so much more expensive than competing brands. I read reviews and checked out competing brand's parkas. But I kept going back to Canada Goose's website and its store in Montreal to learn as much as I can about the Expedition parkas, which I understand are all made in Canada, like other Canada Goose parkas and garments. I was always treated courteously, respectfully, and professionally by every team member who I met at this store. I asked a lot of basic questions, especially the difference between goose down and duck down, down fill power and why Canada Goose uses duck down for the Expedition--why call yourself Canada Goose when you use duck down, why not change your name to Canada Duck, eh. After speaking with Jesse Nasielski, an assistant manager at the store, at length on several occasions (even after the store closed), I felt sufficiently informed and then purchased an Expedition parka, rated for -30 degrees C and below. Jesse had me try out the Expedition inside the "cold room" and answered all my questions, making me confident about the Expedition and enabling me to make an informed purchase decision. After I took my parka home, I noticed a cologne emanating from the jacket--it smelled like a men's Versace cologne. I went back to the store and asked Jesse about the odor. He explained that the odor is a result of the building HVAC system that adds various natural "fragrances" to the circulating air inside the store and that the odor would dissipate from my Expedition in about a week or less. (Jesse is right; the odor from my parka has been fading.) I found the fragranced air inside the store refreshing but then again I was wearing a face mask, in compliance with the Covid-19 pandemic health measures. (I can understand why some other customers would find the fragranced air uncomfortable, unbearable and obnoxious.) My friends tease me that wearing a Canada Goose parka is like wearing as Gucci bag, which is NOT my thing. (Noooo; I am NOT a Gucci man!!!!) I bought my Expedition parka because it fits me well and it keeps me warm outside against the extreme cold, albeit that happens on rare occasions in Montreal in recent years. And the parka has lots of useful pockets. The built quality seems and feels very high. I wish it were significantly less expensive but I do feel that it was worth the money, hopefully time and usage will prove me (and Canada Goose) right. Thank you to all team members who helped me, especially the tireless Jesse Nasielski, who imparted sufficient product knowledge to me to enable me to make an informed and confident purchase decision. I'm hoping my Expedition parka will prove its worth for years to come, at least for the life of this garment, hopefully that will be decades. (Canada Goose provides a "lifetime" warranty for each of its garment--its for the practical lifetime of the garment, not that of the buyer or wearer. Another selling point for me is that I can bring my Expedition to the store for dry-cleaning.)
