★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The clothes are a mix of 14 year old boy styled swag clothes , preppy beach clothes, and the odd "gangsta" styled hoodie. The staff are really crap, I came in once and some girl was literally hiding from me trying to avoid helping me and ran into the back laughing nervously when I saw her. They need to figure out what they're going for in there, and get better staff. I hate going here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son purchased shoes at Boathouse in Vancouver. When he got back to Victoria, he noticed that the clerk put two different sized shoes in the box. I dropped into the store at Hillside and without hesitation, they were on it to solve the problem. They did not carry the shoe he purchased and had to talk with the other store. It did take a couple of weeks to resolve due to store policies, but Lexi got the job done. Excellent service, polite, understanding and followed up with me along the way due to unforeseen delays. I guess part of the solution is to have patience as there are many issues to resolve out there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm only giving this two stars because I really love this store, the people working here are another story entirely. I walked in this store 3 times today to check out shoes and not only did the employees know I was there and ignored me, they talked about me and laughed at me knowing full well that I knew what they were doing. I know that I don't fit into the perfect image that most of the boathouse employees would envision their customers to be but I am still a human being. It's really too bad, their was an awesome pair of shoes that I wanted, luckily I found similar ones at their competitors stores. I know these are entry level positions but please screen the bullies out, cute faces don't always mean great personalities. That's especially true for this store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always helpful and great deals in the back section, they'll look up items for you and order them in for you to your door if you like, or get it shipped from another store. There was a little stain on a cool 3/4 sleeve shirt and they gave me an additional 5% off plus 60% off the last tagged price, which was a store wide deal, the last price was discounted as well! I got like a $40 t-shirt for $10! Good shoes too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped in here on my break a few weeks ago to get a black shirt quickly, and oh boy…. Lol.
The staff had zero interest in anything other than their odd conversation behind the tills. The girl that did check me out said nothing and didnt look my way; just a quick scan before pushing it towards me and turning back around. Really juvenile vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchased a shirt for my niece's birthday, my niece had a covid exposure and we were both forced to self isolate for 14 days. Boathouse has a 14 day exchange period but they are unwilling to allow an exchange for a sweater that is more expensive. Guess they would have rathered I broke the isolation and potentially exposed their staff and customers in order to spend more money there. Will never shop here again and I recommend you don't either.
