But these guys went above and beyond for me and I will definitely be sticking with them for future car issues. I called them last minute with a BIG car repair and they got me in not even hours later, even though they were busy! They were great at communicating timelines and price changes and even fixed some smaller issues with my car while waiting on the big parts (free of labor charge!). I think my mechanics name was Darcy(??) but all staff there seemed terrific. Prices seem pretty standard.
M	Mercedes Jayne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No brainer if you need work done on an antique VW. Left my bus with them for the winter while I travelled overseas and they got me all fixed up. Repaired what was necessary, patched what could wait, and went over all the electrical to make sure that was safe. I wouldn't take it anywhere else on the west coast. Price was super reasonable and they used salvaged parts where possible. Didn't charge me for winter storage even though it was there for about 2 months longer than they needed to do the work.
C	Chris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They lied to me and took my money. Will they do differently for you? Took a car in for a pre purchase inspection and paid $130+. Once I paid they wouldn’t let me talk to the mechanic who did the inspection. A staff said at first he was in the back and he even walked by and responded to me by name (from the report). And then the guy at the desk lied and said “he’s not here this afternoon.” I found out later the mechanics are FRIENDS w the seller! They wouldn’t explain the report AND tried to hide obvious stuff like the A/C not working, windows glued shut, starter not working. They literally said the car was in great shape and I should buy it and it wouldn’t START in the shop. No integrity here. Go to another VW place there’s a bunch in town.

S	Sean Randall on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My previous experiences with this shop were very good. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly, however this time was a lot different. After explaining the problem to the service writer about the hatch release on our 2009 Jetta wagon, I made an appointment for August 6th. I dropped off the car at 6:30 am and put keys in the slot with a reminder about the problem and that I would return at 2:30 pm. I drove by in my work vehicle at 12:30 and noticed that ours had not moved. I saw the owner out front and inquired about the status. He said no one had looked at it yet and asked if they had the keys. He then said it would be going in right away. I returned at 2:30 to find a technician working at diagnosis. He was not confident that the problem could be fixed that day. We needed the car back, so I rescheduled an appointment with the service writer for the 19th of August. I again dropped off the car at 6:30 am. Put keys and a reminder in the box, went to work. I returned at 2:30 pm to find that the service writer had no idea abut the status of our car, which was right in front of the shop, then he asked me if I had dropped the keys in the box. I turned around to look in the drop box and saw my keys and note. He had not even looked at the schedule clearly and did not look in the box. Total waste of time, x 2. Not happy. We now are going away for a vacation, so who knows when our car will be fixed. I suspect we will reluctantly take it to another shop when we return.
P	Patrick Groves on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They will take care of you. Thee go-to Bug/Vanagon/VW shop in town, bar none. They are simply the best place to take your Volkswagen, highly recommended. Extremely good customer service.

For anything that I can't do myself, I go to the Autohaus. They have very reasonable rates and are extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't take her anywhere else.
