Never returning which won’t be hard since they will be closing.. they have cancelled me yet again with a very poor explanation…yet again…they did not have the balls to call me, they texted instead. Lots of other choices..may not be as cheap, but the outcome of their cuts are..

Very disappointed! Had to go back in for a redo because the first time was an ‘oops, lets do this again’. The only way to make the appointment work was with a level below student on a Saturday morning at 9, I reached before 9:20 (after informing that i will be 15 mins late), but that wasn’t enough. So “no-show, sorry we can’t take you in” and “no outside of office hour appointments available for the next 6 weeks but we can only cover your expense if you book in the next 2 weeks”. So I’m basically walking around with hair they screwed up, with no accommodations to cover it, also gearing up to attend a wedding with this. All of this is even though i sent an SMS that i was running 15 mins late. While the quality of hair styling didn’t bother me as much, it’s the horrible customer service that’s going to keep me away.

I've had some of my best hair cuts and styles with the wonderful students, stylists and educators at Aveda. Thanks so much for all you do!

What a mess this last experience was! My requested student was changed, the instructor who did the consultation and initiated the instructions to my assigned student disappeared before my highlights were done, some other instructor (with over 20 years experience ?)took over on the decision as to how the result shade should be, and I ended up paying over $50 more for something I'm VERY UNHAPPY with. This place is not nearly what it used to be, I have been comming here for about 8 years. I would have demanded my money back if it wasn't because I was too upset, and not even an apology was extended....which to be honest, doesn't really change anything when your hair it's been messed up.

I can’t recommend this salon enough. Serena is an amazing hair dresser! She took her time to understand my needs and took such care and pride in her craft. She often checked in with me to make sure everything was okay with me and that I was comfortable. Overall an amazing experience and will recommend her to anyone!! I can’t wait to see where she goes with her career. ☺️☺️

They cut female clients' hair perfectly fine, my mother has been going there for almost 10 years, however they barely get male clients so the few times I tried them I would be the student's first male client. In my experiences they don't know how to cut close to the skull and left the sides and back of my head with thinner patches from uneven clipper work

Had the absolute pleasure of visiting Aveda today (Finally!) (If you can't get hold of an appointment via phone call, try sending a message). I never had any haircolor done before, not even for grey coverage, my nervousness and fear had me worrying about what will happen and how much damage would the dye do etc. I also never had a haircut in Toronto before so wasn't sure about a place or even a stylist. My friend recommended Aveda and after a jittery 24hrs prior to my appointment I decided to go with the flow. Type of hair: black, thick/dense, wavy, can be dry/frizzy For grey coverage: they did a color all over job, which was more like check the hair and my front had whites popping so the color was mainly just applied where needed. Also I have black hair so they simply color matched my original color. It was washed after 30 mins and tadaaa!! ? Caitlyn (guessing the name right) did that and she was absolutely sweet! Haircut: Advanced student Lian gave me a beautiful soft layered cut. I have thick hair which were upto my waist and I wanted something that framed my face but also curled well and had a bouncy flow. Showed her a picture for reference and the rest is history. She took her time, even thanked me for my patience but the end result was fantastic! Greatly appreciate how senior technicians monitor, check and even do the final touches. I felt part of a bigger whole while I was there, it felt like they learn so much and just demand a bit of patience from us. My experience was wonderful and my fears are brushed away!

I think this salon is great little “unknown” gem in Toronto! I went here for a haircut and it was very nice! Although the service took longer than I’m used to, you need to remember that the stylists are just learning. You cannot expect a new stylist in school to be as quick and experienced as someone who has been in the industry for decades. They will be asking their supervisor for help and that’s perfectly fine, they have to learn somehow! I think it’s a great salon and a great option for a haircut with prices that cannot be beat. If you’re expecting the most amazing haircut and colour service of your entire life in the hands of a beginner for a price of 100$, that’s unrealistic and you should look elsewhere and pay the price tag that comes with that. If you’re just going for a haircut to chop a few inches off for under 30$, this is definitely the place to go in Toronto!
