At Hair Market, over 2 sessions, Chris and Susan safely (and patiently) bleached and toned my stubborn dark Asian hair via balayage. I’m now blonde! My hair feels just as healthy as it was before getting processed and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I have had so many compliments on my hair and every week I look forward to using the at-home mask treatment recommended which keeps my hair healthy and smooth. Re COVID protocols: They were so considerate to give me a disposable mask to wear so that my cloth one wouldn’t get damaged from the bleach. The staff wore masks inside at all times and cracked the door open for some additional ventilation. They made sure to give me space when I wanted a sip of water so I felt safe during the entire appointment. Highly recommend.

I went in for highlights and I don't feel like my hair dresser was comfortable with my hair. I wish she let me know, as I have spent hundreds on trying to fix it the last few months and achieve the colour I wanted. I was at a different salon just yesterday and was told she had never seen anything like it and will still take 3 more months to fix without breaking all my hair. **Update** in the end the owner made this worse. He completely blamed the hair dresser he hired and said I could reach out to her directly and try and get a refund. I've never head anything like that and found it all so unprofessional. Very unfortunate

Chris was amazing and offered his professional advice on what I should get done and I am pleased I listened to him. Staff are friendly, professional and approachable. Services done: cut, highlights, root touch up!! Thank you Chris for getting my hair ready for the holidays

I’ve never trusted someone more with my hair — every time, I walk out with healthy, happy, vibrant hair. Most of all, the cuts he gives are about doing what’s best for your hair texture & your face shape — he knows what to do, and is a classically trained hair artist. If you’re a person who always walks away from hair cuts thinking “it’s so much shorter than I wanted” or “I hate these layers!” you should come here to treat your hair to the cut it deserves. And eventually he refused to add even a little bit layer. The whole experience was pretty ridiculous. Asked for 100 bucks for the haircut, doesn’t worth 30. Please avoid. For a hundred bucks you can find amazing hair stylists. Re comment: I was not late for the appointment. Lying is a bad habit, lack of integrity.

I came in with a hard a symmetrical cut in mind, and I have incredibly thin hair, which would make the style difficult to match. Chris and Atosa were incredibly attentive, and gave me very solid and honest opinions of the cut and how it would look on my head/face. They took their time, they constantly checked in to see if I liked it, and had me leaving smiling from ear to ear. The price was also excellent, considering how personalized they made the experience. It was a wonderful appointment, and I’m telling all of my friends nearby about them :)
