About Urban Optique
Dr. Priyesh Tawar, or more popularly known as Pri or Dr. Pri, has been practicing optometry in Alberta for over 14 years.
Born and raised in Regina, he moved to Saskatoon in 1997 to attend the University of Saskatchewan. At the University of Saskatchewan, he majored in Anatomy & Physiology. In 2000 he moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico to attend the Inter-American University School of Optometry. Graduating in 2004, he then moved back to the prairies to start practicing optometry in Alberta.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Pri spends most of his spare time with his gorgeous wife and beautiful baby boy, doing whatever they tell him to…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been going here for several years now for my optical needs. The sales representatives are always very helpful ! The glasses are of the highest quality, and I appreciate the great service.
My latest visit to the store was to get someone to help me , after I accidentally broke one of the lenses in my glasses. The frames were fine. Ashley did a bit of detective work, retrieved the product information on the lens, found the original prescription , and was able to order the one replacement lens for me. Needless to
say, I was thrilled. I didn’t want to put the money out, right now, for a whole new pair of lenses and the frames too.
When I do decide to buy a new pair of glasses, Urban Optique is where I will come!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The appointment staff was polite and courteous. The nurses were prompt and great in doing the tests before the optometrist. And Dr, Schmidt is sincere, freindly, respectful, and knows what he has been doing for years. The location is great, with free parking, in the Market Mall Professional Building. Warm, welcoming atomosphere inside. Clean, comfortable seating area with a fairly new TV. And after eye exam, we walked to the Market Mall, Safeway light grocery shopping and the SportCheck dumbell refunding. Taking care of three things in one trip. Saving gas and time. Saved money also on two pairs of new glasses, as our (a couple) prescriptions have not changed in two years. That also meant we were eating and sleeping and exercising and taking medications well.

Today I had the pleasure of picking out new eyeglasses and sunglasses with Rae, who is not only a wonderful person, but they were just so excited to help me, and they're super knowledgeable as well!
