★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to check out this place for a while now as I heard of it from some people who know coffee. I was very disappointed! I had better coffee at the bank I go to! And for more than 5$ a cup you would expect a decent brew and pleasant atmosphere. None of that in this place. It looked clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Atmosphere was really nice, the servers were great, but the espresso didn't live up to the price tag. I had a mocha (one of the more expensive drinks) and it tasted strangely nutty instead of chocolatey. My friend had a regular latte and it tasted normal. Still not overwhelmingly good, but nothing terrible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great new little coffee place attached to both a micro brew and a butcher meat mart. Coffee is great and they have great coffee equipment for sale. Brewers. Grinders etc. They also have great baked goods and coffee to take home for sale. Beans or ground.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been coming to this coffee shop for years ever since university and it has never failed me. Modern decor, great cappuccinos and friendly service. They set up booths recently to accommodate social distancing. This coffee shop brings much value to the garneau community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Transcend, especially the Garneau location. It’s a pretty quiet cafe with beautiful sunshine and great coffee. The coffee is a bit on the expensive side and I wish they had more outlets, but the vibe and friendly staff are definitely huge bonuses. I’d give it a 4.5 if google would let me :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always make a point to come visit Transcend when I’m in Edmonton. Their cortados are the perfect ratio of espresso to milk for me. In general most of their drinks are more concentrated and less sweet than what you’d find at your average coffee shop - so perfect if you really like the taste of espresso! This place does tend to run on the pricier side, but the atmosphere is great, the people are lovely - and there’s free parking out back!
